[SPEC] 1-18-08 in your city (should we make YouTube videos?) After the movie comes out, what's to stop us to have sightings of other monsters We know that all the right ingredients are there for there to be more than one monster and so many drilling stations.
Could we make YouTube vidoes about monster sightings in other places/cities and keep it going after the movie is out?
edit to add tag and clarify topic ~rose

hmmm i just thought... i don't think i ll b able to film something like the trailer BUT i cud take pictures of...say the opera house in Sydney (national symbols like the SOL) and then use photoshop to create a similar scenery of destruction and chaos like on the official poster.
this way the attack could be international and people from other countries might get more interested!

Much like e2c, time is something I have very little of nowadays, at least to devote to projects like this. However, I think it's a real interesting idea, and I'd like to see what you guys come up with.
EDIT: Actually, e2c, THAT sounds just as intriguing. Good thinking, everyone.

CGI might not be necessary (post-film release, that is) if you're only doing posters, as you should (with any luck) have press shots or screen caps of the monster by then.
And I'm sure there will be at least one fan talented enough in 3D modeling to make a 3D model for us.
I dunno if I'd like to make a grumpypants struck Cleveland. Although it would fit in a way...what with Lake Erie being right there and all.

I think he'd skip it... a monster couldn't be blamed for thinking Cleveland had already been razed.
Great idea though... might have to see what I can do with some Dallas landmarks. Grumpypants on the grassy knoll...

If a monster comes to attack Portland, he will *have* to have a taste for Granola.
and Coffee.
Hyped up; jittery caffeine monster.
oh, and Subarus. He has to like those.
[edit] That's a pretty specialized monster; but he might like Seattle too in that case. They're kind of crunchy too (granola wise).
