Being unable to find any additional information in the shreded scraps, I took a look at the source of the page with the scraps on it, and found this
Code:
Collected from debris field in Building 32.
not sure what to make of it.
I think that means the paper was found in the ruins of the building.
Mining droids, eh? I was thinking more on Xenomorphs, and I suspected this ARG was for AvP2...

Just to make the point till now
we got the shreded scraps from debris field in Building 32 and the document about mkratio on p.smith desk (the ex CEO) in building one.
about the timeline that we can get from the documents
- ??/??/1995 -- second video from a tech demo in switzerland
- 14/08/1995 -- document with the transcript of a phone conversation beetween J.Miller and somebody about the idea of creating self-replicating bots, taken by R.Kowlan
- 03/10/1995 -- notes about the MKRATIO project
- 11/11/2005 -- piece of a newsletter
So:
- from the first document we know that they are experimenting with the bots since 7 months so from january 1995
- in the second document they talk about the developing of a new AI model for the drones, the project will last at least to december 1998
- from the newsletter we know that the mine is working without humans since 5 years (so from the 2000 and not from the 1998....) and that the demolitors teaam will try to shut off the mine the next week, so always in november 2005.On more it seems that always in november 2005 something happened to the position of Shimura (the leader of the AI developing) in the company
By the way, the Descent saga started in 1995 with Descent and stopped in 1998 with Descent 3....maybe just a coincidence....
What we have to do??
While we wait i think that we still got the first strange picture (the autovert_s.gif) and this all grey picture now in the homepage connector.gif that has alt="fade to this".....
Any idea??

In the main page source there are two map links and one to a linux question. I don't see how they are relevant to anything in the game though.
As for the connector.gif file, if you replace the first index color with something else you'll see

"Found on 13th floor, building 33. Apparently the marketing division..."
and we also learn that the ad was created before december '98 with a plan to roll out AI in Q3 of 1999.
There also seems to be some disagreement as to whether this model is called BD-56 or BD-59

I don't know if that's still relevant seeing that it has been removed from their server.

that tells us that there are 2 parties actively occupying the area, and that our contact seems to want to go by Xeno.

Hi, first post here! I received this email from missioncontrol or Xeno.
Quote:
Thanks for asking, but I can't see any possibilities right now.
I'm trying to patch into the CAFM system, but it isn't easy to do as I'm
almost constantly being watched by two beefy guys outside.
I googled CAFM and while there were a few results I think in this case it stands for Computer Aided Facility Management. There's an article on it on wikipedia where it defines CAFM as "the support of facilities management by information technology.". Not really sure what it means though...
Little update...
I emailed Xeno to see if the intials JM (from the last image that was found) meant anything to him and he just replied :
Quote:
Probably Miller. Don't remember his first name
Nothing exceptional, it just suggests that Xeno whoever he is has probably worked for the same group that employs Miller.

Sorry for the double post, but I thought it would be easier for everyone if I posted the new image that was found.

Xeno is in jail? Just got an e-mail about an hour ago. Heres the response:

I'm e-mailing him again, asking why he's in jail, where he was sneaking around, and where he is right now.
EDIT: Got a response 51 minutes ago, he said:

I'm somewhere in the ZA facility, but I'm not sure which building. They drugged me and moved me to another room sometime during the day, and I have no idea where it is.
My backpack had the usual stuff - laptop, patch cables, some tools, and a WSOTE core I snatched from an idle scoutbot.
They obviously confiscated everything, but luckily they didn't find my MiniPodPC (had it safely tucked away in a place where the sun never shines...)
