[PRESS] Nothing new, But IGN helps promote Cloverfield.

On the little top bar of IGN is a link to the Cloverfield Trailer. I know IGN is a HUGE site, so this ought to give this movie even more attention. Very Happy

Kind of disappointing in a way, Cloverfield is one of those things that you want everyone to know about, but at the same time want to keep it on the down low.

Well aren't you just the coolest guy in the room. Shut up, it's a multi-million dollar movie, there's nothing on the "down low" about it.

You obviously don't "get it."

I can see how some hate to see their little 'secret' grow and become more broadly popular. The rebellious hate to see their counterculture tastes go mainstream. Rolling Eyes

The way I look at it though, is that the earlier you get into something that grows in popularity, the more genuine you can be in your claim of interest and the greater a cachet you have of being the one most 'in the know' when the subject comes up.

Just think, when in conversation you hear someone say "there's this cool new movie called Cloverfield I read about yesterday..." and you can say "what do you want to know about it?".

Yeah, it's sort of like those losers who love a band until it becomes popular, then all of a sudden hate their music. It makes no sense.

Yeah, I don't think I would call them losers. I think it is a point of being unique. Who wants to be like everyone else?
Case in point: I bought a brand new vehicle and it was a unique colour. I drove it around my small populated city for many months until I saw not one but 4 other vehicles JUST LIKE MINE! Bummer.

That's just a security issue. You shouldn't try to be different, you should be yourself, and if it ends up being different then that is how you are. Trying to be different is noticeable and silly.

I'm not saying everyone who tries to maintain the status of "sheople" is like that but generally speaking I feel as if we try too hard to be different. We'd all be a lot more different if we were ourselves.

 thought this would be interesting

Hey, just resurrecting this dead thread because on IGN today there was a poll asking 'which january movie do you want to see?'--and cloverfield is winning the race! guess this movie is getting more and more publicity all the time--although not too sure how many people are voting, but IGN is a pretty big site! i am enclosing a screenshot, i hope it works out

Cloverfield should be at 95%...Rambo at 5%...and the rest at 0%.

Meet the Spartans looks like about the shittiest thing I've ever seen. I don't even have to look at imdb to know that it's from the same retards that made (insert adjective here) movie. I bet it took em about 10 minutes to write that.

When you anti-conform for the sake of anti-conforming, I think you miss the bigger picture of being one with your body,

mind,

and soul.

Cool
