[Trailhead] Santa Claws: Hunt for the missing elves

Hey everyone!

I just received a mail from "bodhi cat" with the subject "Please help the kittens!". It merely contained the link to the following Youtube profile: http://youtube.com/profile?user=santaclawsss

The video on the profile sent me here: http://www.freewebs.com/santa-claws/

Let's look for them kittens, shall we? Smile

Aw, a Christmas ARG! Smile

I got the same trailhead, so I'm going to follow this one, too.

It looks like every day, there will be a new postcard from one of the elves, who are (inconveniently) all on vacation. We have to find the location of the elf that sent the postcard so that Santa Claws can send her reinmice to pick up the elves. The first few to send in the correct answer to santaclawsSPLATcatlover.com will get their name on the Good Boys & Girls list.

This sounds like fun. Smile

Done! Smile

When I was forwarding the message, though, I noticed that it was to jenna.altringhamSPLATntlworld.com. (We must have been BCC'd.) Does this mean that this Ms. Jenna Altringham is a character?

Looks like we have our first postcard challenge, guys.

Let's work on that crossword! I'll update my post as I work on it.

Edit: I've uploaded a file of what I have done so far. Smile

I think 1 across is "carol" but I'm not sure about the other one. i found something that started with a "b" but didn't fit and I didn't have too much time to look into it as I have been doing hair and makeup this afternoon for my roomate and friend.

I think there may be a mistake with this one, but I'm not sure. 7 down is "mistletoe" but that doesn't match up with 13 across, so maybe if we figure this out we can try it with both letters.

if you take the crossword clue as a bit of a pun, the solve to christmas sport could be boxing

for 4 I have thomas smith
for 11 I have pierpont (james)

BUT... 7 I *think* should be mistletoe, but the only way it would fit (and this may be a clue) is to use the old norse spelling mistiltoe

ok, I added Red Hatty's answers (I think you are right on about the mistiltoe btw... considering the source) looks like we only need 3 across, and even then , not to solve the scramble

I finished! I'm on the good girl list and everything. I used 'mistletoe' for my answer...so something is definitely wrong.
