 [SPEC] Turtle Theory:"Plauseable"?

I think whoever suggested that the "Cloverfield" monster could be a turtle like creature 'cause I was thinking that there might be a small chance that the monster's silhouete might be in the movie poster so, it maybe plausable.

Edit - tagged - MikeyJ

that silhouette thing is early game BS. just like the demon in the hair and it's a lion and all of that.

nothing points to this thing being a turtle or even turtle-like

Anything is possible! Please tag your threads and.... uh... maybe work on the punctuation thing. We have a few threads now with what could be the monster moving through the city (from the trailer), and you might consult those to gather some evidence for your theory.

Yea, pretty much everything points to the opposite of a turtle.

Edit: Sorry about my 'bark' (I assume you my bark is worse than my bite! Smile), it's just there's been a lot of preety 'out there' theories which were just too outlandish to be possible.

Alright, that's enough... 'Gypsy', this isn't directed at you but more every wild theory that has been justified because it's 'possible'.

A certain level of common sense has to be applied with these things... there's nothing in trailer that suggests the monster is a giant turtle... and if anything the general size of it as we've seen in the trailer makes it very unlikely to be a turtle... even if it was mutated to the point of walking like a biped.

Anyway, as for a silhouette I'd imagine the poster has been examinined a lot since the first decent pictures went online... whilst some people thought they saw something amongst the ruined buildings it's likely that if they'd hidden something like a silhouette within the poster it probably would've been pointed out by now.

Please don't think that just because I point out missed tags, suggest a snuggle with grammar textbook, and/or suggest additional research I believe a particular theory is probable, or even possible; I'm merely trying to improve the discourse. Honestly, I'd be quite happy to hear his turtle theory, provided it was well-written or graphically entertaining.

You're quite free to get upset about every pet theory that is based on a wild hair, but what's in it for you? All you get is angry. Crackpot theories are at least, occasionally, thought provoking or (as noted above) shiny, colorful ways to pass a few minutes. The real scourge of the boards is duplicate threads... they have no redeeming value* and should, in a perfect world, never exist. Alas.

I didn't think that because of absent tags... it just seems to be a really silly idea... a giant, upright walking turtle when there doesn't appear to be anything in the trailer to support that it's a giant, mutated turtle. The problem with crackpot theories is that we've seen that people use this place to keep tabs on the latest desicoveries... and it probably doesn't help them when they have to wade through several posts because somebody felt that the monster has 'spsecial powers', that it's a crossover with the Heroes universe (I mean, c'mon...) or that there's some sorta interdimensional portal.

It's also about showing a certain level of restraint, is all... it's never a good idea to post something just because you have the ability to do so.

After so much time and energy was wasted by people who could've sworn it was 'It's a Lion! It's huge!', and who thought they saw a demon/monster in the girls' hair... it'd be nice to cut down on the more rediculous stuff and concentrate on the more realistic stuff...

No way the blob in the trailer is a turtle unless its walking on it's hind legs which would be awfully stupid... Foily!
