[SPEC] Some "things" I noticed in the poster

I saw a thread that was asking for a hi-res poster. I followed the link and analyzed the poster for a few seconds, making sure to check all the details. A few things caught my eye. The first thing was a scratch(es) on the back of the SoL. There is a huge gash, then next to it, there is a line. I surmised that this might've come from the monster's body, rather than its hands. Why? Because I doubt that it would just take a finger/claw and scratch the back of the SoL while slouching or crouching. It might've also fallen, but that's a kinda stupid idea Rolling Eyes . It could also be the smaller monsters. The other thing that caught my eye was the round kind of mark on the back of the SoL next to the cut that I just talked about. It looks sort of like a (and you can flame me for this) kiss mark. Lol, yeah that's pretty stupid, I know. It could just be debris that hit it. The final thing that I noticed was way back into the city is sort of like a slug looking thing. At first, I thought of fins. Then, I thought of a neck. I finally thought it was a back. Now, I'm thinking it's an arm or a tentacle. My mind is fighting over which part of a body, if there is any, it is. It could just be smoke, which is most likely. Just look at the poster, because you can get a better view of what I'm talking about. So, theorize on! Very Happy

btw, there's a higher quality image of the not-so-new poster here: http://www.collider.com/uploads/imageGallery/Cloverfield_1_18_08/1.18.08_movie_poster_jj_abrams_untitled_monster_movie_cloverfield.jpg

Between this one and the new one, it's pretty much the same, save for the title and the SoL's base.

Both of the things you mention can be seen more clearly in the one above.

Somewhere out there a poster designer has no freaking idea how overanalyzed his work would be. Cool
