 		 Site Upgrades - Updated Constantly :P
I've just gotten done converting the forums over to the latest version (I was only 6 versions behind, but who's counting?). In the process, I had to reinstall all of the modifications I've made, and I took the opportunity to add a few new ones. Please help me out with your bug reports...PM me, email me, or find me in chat to let me know if anything looks wonky or doesn't seem to work correctly.

Current List of Modifications

  • File Attachment Mod (Upgraded for Compatibility and Features)
  • View All Attachments Mod (Upgraded for Compatibility)
  • Search in Small Time Increments (Carryover)
  • View Last Posts in X Time Dropdown on Index (Carryover)
  • BBCode Spoiler Tag w/Rollover to View (Carryover)

  • PageGen Stats - Admin Only (Carryover)

New Mods
  • Multi-BBCode Mod (Easy Adding of New BBCode Buttons)
  • BBCode Strikethrough
  • BBCode Superscript
  • BBCode Subscript
  • BBCode Secret Tag (But I'm sure [you] can figure it out. Wink) (Removed for security - Thanks Anthrax101)
  • IRC Action - /me is tired of reading "slash me"
  • New Smilies (thanks Addlepated and Danman_d Rock On) - Click "View more Emoticons" in the posting dialog
  • Style Fix to prevent (some) horizontal topic stretching
  • New Date Format Chooser in Profiles (For Humans)
  • Forum Notification Ability, Increased Info in Topic Notifications (Look for the link at the bottom left of a forum or topic view to "watch this" forum or topic)
  • Guests Required to Enter a Name when Posting
  • Auto-Login Checked by Default (stop forgetting to turn it on! Wink) (Removed by request, alternate method implemented)
  • Private Message Notifications Include PM Sender's Nickname
  • New RSS Feed http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/rss.php (Works similar to previous, but includes post text rather than just titles and links. Valid GET parameters are "?c=<x>" where <x> is amount of posts to return, "?f=<x>" where <x> is a specific forum to limit feed to, and "?t=1" to force the feed only to show new posts that are also new topics. e.g. To view the RSS for the last 10 News & Rumors topic posts only, http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/rss.php?f=10&c=10&t=1
  • Search Index Rebuilder (boring)
  • Redundancy in Navigation Line Removed ("Unforum Forum Index")
  • Added Current Category Link to Navigation Line When Viewing Forums
  • Added Small Google Translator to Posting Dialog
  • Added "Last Visited On" to Member Profile Pages
  • Added Ability to Search for Specific User in Memberlist

  • Merge Topics - Admin/Moderator Only (Staff: this was confusing to me at first, ask me if you don't get it. There should be a new circular moderator button on the lower left of pages where you have moderation ability that looks kind of like >< )
  • Lock Topic From Post Dialog - Admin/Moderator Only (adds a check box in the posting dialog to auto-lock a topic when you submit your reply to it)


Modifications Coming Soon (If They Work)
  • Category Hierarchy (to collapse those pesky archives) Done!
  • Keep Unread Setting (to prevent threads being marked as read if you haven't really read them yet, but just visited the board)
  • New Topic Types (definable topic tags - moderator mainly)
  • Static Topics (to make moderator hard-sortable forums, so threads can't move around when replied to)


And Magesteff, I did look for a SpellChecker, but the two I found are both ad-driven. Sad
