[SPEC] Slusho Order without letter

[deleted former post due to drama caused by this thread]

[edit]Thanks to the few people who've PM'd me. I appreciate the kind words.

I just wanted to say, for those who care, that it's all good, and beyond other things, I just really don't have time for forums like I used to.

Once again, thanks to everyone who made this experience pleasant... and to everyone else... well... you have the freedom to be who you want, so keep on bein' Razz

A Quote

Sir Winston Churchill:
"Truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it and ignorance may deride it, but, in the end, there it is."

Fire away, I know what I recieved in the mail. Even if no one else in the world believes me, I won't go down without a fight. Truth will always make it in the end. If you expect me to run away, you have another thing coming. I'm here to the end.

EDIT: I thought this was fitting, too

Norman Schwarzkopf:
"The truth of the matter is that you always know the right thing to do. The hard part is doing it."

Q

didn't someone say that the letters may not be going out with all orders?

i received email from USPS today saying mine is ready to post. will let you know what if i receive anything. mine is regular post, don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.

and i'm curious about the term "whistle blower" isn't that an american term? why would a japanese employee use it?

Origins of the term whistleblower

The term whistleblower from the practice of English bobbies who would blow their whistle when they noticed the commission of a crime. The blowing of the whistle would alert both law enforcement officers and the general public of danger.

Whistleblower's a general, world-wide term. *sigh* Ethnocentric Americans. And a Japanese guy would use it the same reason he says "American" - he's talking to Americans, he uses language they understand.

Three 'got' the memo, one 'didn't' get the memo. Now, I'm fairly certain this isn't a gamejack on behalf on rkr7 and the others who got them. But there is a possibility - rkr7, didn't you say that there was a rip in your box? Were there rips in the others? Was there a rip in yours, iconsumer? If so, we may have found the calling card. (BTW, rkr7, I would recommend posting a picture of the rip - I wanna be certain I'm not going out on a limb here.)

My box was in a-okay condition.

Here's why I'm skeptical

1) I don't believe that as part of their viral campaign they would willy-nilly give out hidden memo's.

2) The people who found these memo's had low post counts. Not to say high post counts mean anything, but it still raises suspicion when people come out of the wood work all of a sudden to reveal a find.

3) These letters have led to no new information or discoveries, but rather just coincided with speculation already rampant on the forums.

4) Anyone could create these fakes and post under multiple accounts as though several separate people were receiving them. Hell, several friends could easily get together to make this happen. We're talking about a tiny bit of photoshop / layout program know how, and some knowledge of Japanese.

Seriously. No need to get offended. Just realize that in my case, I feel there is simply not enough corroborating evidence to justify claiming this is in game.

Nothing personal. Just the way I roll.

All I want now is pictures of iconsumer's box and rkr7's box (rkr7, I want the side that's ripped on yours). Then, we can call real or fake based on whether the type of box corroborates.

Yeah, A huge rip along the side of the box, closed with tape. My father works with postal offices, though, and thinks it just got dammaged along the way, and that's how they fix it.

As for a pic, sorry. My dad was so certian that he threw away the box.
Obviously I can't be 100% sure, but I thought it held little signifance.

I know some think me and the two others are lying but were not. I have already show picture proof that I am not lying.

That won't matter. There's enough info on the net for them to know what kind of box they ship in. Not to mention there's nothing to say they didn't actually get merch and then just make the notes.

As for you who say you found the notes. If you are game jackers, please realize no amount of you pleading that you seriously aren't game jacking isn't going to change the fact you are. We've been through this before here at UF, and you will be called out.

Otherwise, if I'm wrong, and we can get some corroborating evidence, once again, nothing personal.... like I said.. it's just that my level of skepticism is higher than most.

i think this skepticism is getting absurd. Granted this is my first ARG or ARE or whatever, but I have to say that the skepticism shown by some is obsessive bordering on rude to those who they question. It's good to question everything, but after a while it defeats the purpose of participating in this type of experience or game.
