[MEET] Unfiction members, meet for Cloverfield Premiere

Would be cool if the members on here that have been discussing this movie, all get together and meet up for the Cloverfield premiere!(in New York City for instance)

Just to toss the idea up, would anyone be interested in something like this?

This was discussed before at some point. I'm up for doing a premiere in Sandy OR. DH and I will be happy to share a row, just keep quiet, turn off your freakin' cell phone, and beware the flying gummy bears.

Frappr map is linked from this thread. Handy for locations and seeing where there are particular concentrations of players, but not so handy for organising the meet-ups for the screenings.

Probably the easiest place to sort these things is the wiki, with a dedicated meet page people can add their own suggestions for screening locations. It'd be better to go for central places that are easy to travel to and to consolidate nearby meets otherwise you'll be going on your own! For example in Liverpool it'd probably be best to go for either of the two city centre cinemas (Odeon - London Road or FACT so that people can come in by car, train or bus if they fancy a proper get together. There's still more than a month to go though - plenty of time to get tickets!

I'm already working on getting advanced tickets from a friend. One lucky uF member already has claim to one of them.

i work at a theatre in MA, so....sorry guys, but I'll probably see the movie closer to the 4th of January, when they have the screening in Randolph.

So....when i do see it, do you want me to give you a thumbs up, thumbs down....or just bite my tongue? Razz

so...bite my tongue then? I would never do anything to ruin this for someone, but if I come in here and say...."It's crap, wait to rent it." I just want to know if that's kosher.

Razz

I'm not going to say anything.

Heroes is over now.

But what I was going to say before is that I'm going to preview it at work and find a way to bring as many people as possible to the preview. WE had a full theater for Harry Potter and it's only supposed to be an employee and their guest, but whatever.

I can find a way around the rules. Wink

Dairyking, hello fellow theater worker. Smile

I think he means that before the movies are released, theaters usually check the movie itself. Managers will typically have their employees join for the preview just as a perk for working. I would go to them but they occur to late at night for me. 1 AM. Dx
