Either that or the whales (ok, probably not the whales, but maybe a pissed off environmental organization?) get pissed and attack the drilling station causing Seabed's Nectar to spill everywhere. Either that or it's just an accident, but some sort of "incident" happens at the Chuai station. The whales (which have been hinted at many times.. including a dream where Ganu is a little fish, drinks the nectar and becomes a large whale, hmmm..) drink all the spilled Nectar and grow really big (tons of evidence that Seabed's Nectar gives people inhuman strength.. animals are obviously effected too as Tag covered up that puppy drinking contest or whatever, and Ganu's dream also supports this). Then the overgrown whales get pissed cause they want more Seabed's Nectar (there is evidence that it is addictive, even to fish.. also evidence that it causes aggression when it is craved as with most addictive substances). So the pissed off super-sized whale(s) attack NYC, looking for more Seabed's Nectar (which they have associated with humans, just as animals in national parks know that humans carry food.. also I think the fish that were addicted to Slusho! in that puddle knew that it was coming from the human because they would be waiting for him to come dump it). Thus begins the events of 1-18-08.

Every single press release/blog entry on any of the in-game sites supports my theory. Even the one about the little league baseball team shows the effects of Seabed's Nectar.. Those kids must drink a lot of Slusho!, maybe thats why the boy "hits the ball far".

I dunno, just my overall thoughts on everything. I thought this was the "obvious" conclusion that would be drawn from all the evidence, but I have also seen many other theories, so maybe it only seems obvious to me. As far as I'm concerned, the biggest question remaining is, what happened at Chuai station?

I like the idea of a TIDO sabotage group causing a big spill of seabed nectar, but I think it's a bit far-fetched to think that would make sea creatures turn into monsters. However, based on that little league article and Vernon MacDooble's reviews, the spill could cause an already existing monster to fly into a rage, or a Slusho sort of 'high'. The only problem, then, is getting it to NYC - Chaui is the closest platform, but it's still pretty far away from NYC. Maybe it follows a ship (the fleeing TIGO survivors) back to port.

Also, thetruth - those numbers might be relevant to the Slusho/Tagruato answering machine. Check out this thread... http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22229

I give a much more detailed explanation of my theory here:
http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=429052#429052

It's a logical cause-effect progression, with evidence to support each step.

In that thread I also explain why the monster might head to NYC. Oh, and I don't think TIDO was actually responsible for the Chuai incident, just a possibility.. I think what happened there is the biggest mystery left for us.

I think it's a clue to start looking for Hansen. The problem is, where do we start? Maybe we are so wrapped up in trying to break down old clues even further to the point of insanity, and even a month out we've got nothing, you know? It's got to be a clue to start looking for Teddy, and if it is, it's the biggest slap in the face from the ARG gamemakers or whatever they're called.

If they put that comment up there, maybe it's a sign that the other clues are more obvious than we think. Maybe.

Oh yeah; for what it's worth, I'm from D.C. and I love the Redskins. Sad

I don't see what about the T.H. post makes you think it is legit. Sure, it was allowed on the site, but that doesn't mean it was an official post. I think it was just a player trying to play the role of Teddy. There are other posts that were accepted from names such as R. Hawkins, which someone on these forums has said that they posted, so obviously they're screening process isn't too intensive. I'm not saying that their isn't a post on TIDO from the other side of the curtain, just that I don't think that it necessarily the T.H. one. I think the most official sounding poster on TIDO, if there is one at all, is Brother VooDoo.. I dunno why, just sounds really well written. He has two posts on there under different sections and they are both pretty good. Brother VooDoo turns out to be a comic book character, which also makes me think it may be an official post because JJ loves comics, and so does the character HUD. Not that that really means anything, just that a comic-themed name would be something I could see them choosing. Anyway, I might be completely wrong, I just don't think we should be narrowing down our options too greatly just yet. For all we know there hasn't been another substantial clue left yet and we are just waiting for another blog entry on TIDO, or for Jamie to open her box. Remember, the puppetmasters have to keep us on some sort of timeline if this is to coincide perfectly with the movie. That's not to say that we shouldn't be out there scouring for clues, though.

With all due respect, and I don't mean to sound rude, but for those who are either dead against this being IG or are on the fence, please discuss the validity if the site in a separate thread, so that in this thread on we can concentrate on the plethora of clues/information on the site.
On the bright side, whether you'd sell your first born to prove this is OOG or climb up a tall tower and shoot those in the first group, we can all, surprisingly, agree on one thing; Detroit is the Asshole of America. That's what I call unity.

Fair enough, in that case im going to look at T.I.D.O.wave from the point of view of a clue. I still find the name odd, and as I said before, if its not evidence for it being OOG then its probaly a clue. Right now im trying to look at possible reasons for why this has a different naming scheme than the others, and what P.E.A.K, D.R.A.I.N and T.I.D.O.Wave could stand for.

What do you guys think of The Glass Helmets' latest blog entry:

Well I think that pretty sure The Glass Helmets is IG, as they have the music on there, and untill I find out whether those songs are from another band, Im saying its IG. So this pretty much shows its IG now.

But as for this 'accident' possibly caused by Tagruato?

ok i just got a look at something that i was bugged by from the first hack. look at the banner on the site with all the different themes on it from the hack itself. notice that only the octopus is on there. it has to mean something either that or i am reading way to into this..lol

Well, on the hack, the octopus was the 3rd, and also had a number '2' next to it. Possible the Octopus has some relevance? Or possibly just their mascot.

P.S: Also, shouldnt Jamie be opening her box soon?

I just do not see where the big arguement is coming from on valadity of this website. Basically we have two options.

A) It is IG

B) It is OOG

There really isn't any middle ground (discluding the comments at this point).

Now, my only question for all the people who are saying this is out of game:

The website is called Tidowave. TIDO Wave.
That is the exact thing that we pulled out of the hack picture.

Now, if the website was set up several weeks PRIOR to the release of the hack, how could they possibly have created that name? Unless I am missing something here, I just do not see how it is possible. And to reinforce the connection between the hack and the website, the website purposefully uses the horned image of our favorite slusho! inventing friend.

Now, back to the comments. That is what I get hung up on.

I admit, that on alot of open comment threads, you get alot of crap (look at video comments on youtube or myspace for example). So admittedly, there is probably gonna be alot of crap. But at the same time... they are allowing comments like this:

Quote:
T.I.D.O Wave,

I have one question.

Do you know of anyone named Teddy, from the United States, that is working for you and/or Tagruato?

And also, they have allowed several pro-tagruato comments, such as:

Quote:
If you don't know who hacked tagruato, why are you calling them handsome? I LOVE TAGRUATO

So, my only thought could be either they are NOT moderating the comments very closely, or they are trying to make it look like they are not moderating them (and removing any that are so wildly gamejacked or OOG that they don't want them ruining their site).

Thats my 2 cents.

Anyhow, as far as the site goes... has anyone gleaned any clues from it?

The thing that grinds my gears is this:

If a website is obviously OOG people recognize this and say "its OOG" etc etc

But if a site is actually IG and done really well, people say things like "this is OOG because it hasn't been confirmed yet" etc etc....

who is going to approve it? every-time a new website is found, JJ isnt gonna come out and say something like " I have just released a NEW website which is IG" because that takes the fun out of it

p.s, sorry for the rant, im very bored

I agree with you man. Does JJ need to send out memos for someone to accept it is IG?

I mean, other than the comments are a bit janky, I see nothing that proves this is OOG, and I see evidence that it IS in game.

RAWR

WORK IS BORING!!

I wish TIDO Wave would wash away my paperwork as well.

Ok i just spent some time lurking within the Tag answering machine system thru the number we all know

By dialing 9+6318+some password ( i first dialed 1945 but afterwards i got the same message with other kinda random passwords but not any random password...don't ask, it just didnt work all the time ) you are told that the account/message box was suspended.

I tried most of the numbers in the TIDO cruelitin (most of them are two digits numbers right ? except for the differnet years which could be used as foru digit passwords...) but it didnt work so far....
If they're extensions, the only one leading to someone ( where we are until now ) is 18. So, assuming that 18 was Daiske Kagashima's extension i tried to dial the whole number with 00 in the end which leads to a different message. It talks about a certain company : Cybercorp, or servercorp or servecorp ( which you can hear during the second jap/english message thru main phone number...i'm pretty sure its the same company cause in the end it leads you to the same reception message )

That main message talks about two websites one with the upper domain name and then co.jp ( thats said in japanese ) and the other website is same but with .net ( said in english )

I did a bit of browsing/whois but didnt give much info...

http://cybercorp.jp/ is empty but has an icon
http://cybercorp.net/ is just a start page and seems pretty old so OOG
http://cybercorp.co.jp/ is some artistic/creative website
http://servecorp.net/ is for sale

and all of the following aren't working...

http://www.servecorp.jp/
http://www.servecorp.co.jp/
http://www.servercorp.jp/
http://www.servercorp.co.jp/
http://www.servercorp.co.jp/
http://www.servercorp.co.net/

WHOIS for all those didnt give much...japanese domain infos are hard to grab

I'm sorry but i need to take a break from this for a little while, so knock yrselves out !

Whoa, this sounds big... Can someone verify this, I have no idea how to do this international calling bit.

EDIT: Just noticed this:
Email: 18KagashimaDSPLATtagruato.jp
Notice the 18 before his name? And that's his extension?

Good Morning,

Maybe "wave" refers to something else. Like a "wave" of attacks.
P.E.A.K. offensive
D.R.A.I.N. movement
Just a thought.
