[OT] Coincidence? - Craig's Travel Forum

googling for ilovebees , today both the blog and site show up.
In addition, there is a travel forum called Craig's List.
It's based in San Francisco (as is Dana).
Mr/Mrs ilovebees posted the following on 7/14 (last wednesday)
Quote:
going to montreal on friday for a week for a conference. i should have extra time to check out the sights etc.

anybody have any recommendations of things i should see, eat, places to shop, must do things?

http://forums.craigslist.org/?act=Q&ID=16936761

coincidence?
If you start here http://forums.craigslist.org/?forumID=42 and look for the posts from 7/14 (page 8 today, might move to page 9 tomorrow, etc)
you can even see ilovebees has used SFO as their "location".

Since dana hasn't said anything about going to Montreal, it's probably not in-game, but it is still freaky.

The Insectatarium in the botanic gardens is a must see. They have an incredible collection of bugs live and on pins!

Craig's List has subsites for cities other than SFO, and I know they're big on apartment/roommate listings. So maybe it is just a coincidence? Weird one though. Smile

Maybe not. Is dana going to do a hotel stay around out iin the Orient? I kind of doubt it since she wants to meet new people, have new experiences. Perhaps she will bve advertising soon for staying at a roomate out there?

Posting as guest now, might register if things get more interesting:

In the real world, I'm a film student. A friend of mine in the animation community in LA pointed me to Craig's List to find work in DC this summer. I didn't end up following up on leads from the site since I got another job, but that's beside the point -- I can confirm that Craig's List is a legitimate site outside the game, or at least that it exists and has an active community that someone who, afaik, has no interest in ARG was involved in before May of this year. I can't comment on mrilovebees or the other suspicious poster, but you might want to check his profile and see if you can dig up any other activity (or lack of activity) that'd identify him as part of the game.

I suspect I'm going to get trouted, but it's all in good fun.

We try to save trout for the truly tiresome. Sadly, your post with good information does not qualify. Better luck next time! Very Happy
