Oh, here's a short sample of the Slusho song. Let the remixes and ringtones begin.

Haha, thanks for this. Smile I'm making a little Daft Punk/MSTRKRFT electro/Hiphop type remix. I'll post it up once I'm done.

Don't know how helpful this will be, but, from a MU* I play on, where I'm friends with someone who is fluent in Japanese (ESL actually):

[CreativeGenius] X: HEY RIN. Will you translate some stuff for me? Very Happy
[CreativeGenius] Rossi: WUT.
[CreativeGenius] Magneto: http://slusho.jp/contest/sample/medium.html
[CreativeGenius] Rossi: ...what the /fuck/.
[CreativeGenius] X: Yeah that is pretty much my thoughts.
[CreativeGenius] X: Can you understand what anyone is saying? It's for the Cloverfield movie.
[CreativeGenius] Rossi: What?
[CreativeGenius] Rossi: There's this random shit about 'you should look and take advantage of every opportunity,' and I can't really hear what the moose is saying--
[CreativeGenius] X cackles. "I can't really hear what the moose is saying."
[CreativeGenius] Rossi sulks.
[CreativeGenius] X: The talking moose needs to enunciate. Sad
[CreativeGenius] Adel: ):
[CreativeGenius] X: Can you get anything else from it? I WILL LOVE YOU.
[CreativeGenius] Adel: Haha. X needs to have the biggest japenis.
[CreativeGenius] Wanda cackles.
[CreativeGenius] X: W/e. They know I am from TX. RIN WILL GET CRED.
[CreativeGenius] Rossi: I can't hear it!
[CreativeGenius] Rossi: There's something wonky with my speaker.
[CreativeGenius] X: That is epic fail!

I don't want to nag her, but I may ask her to look at it again while she's at work tomorrow to see if she can give it a go on a different computer.

Mr. Sparkle!
Accept the Challenge!

The Slusho ad reminds me of the infamous fictitious Japanese commercial "Mr. Sparkle" from The Simpsons many years ago. I can actually see some style similarities between the two...Japanese commercials seem very "busy" with lots of stuff going on. I don't know much about the pop culture of Japan, but it seems fascinating.

Here is the full Mr. Sparkle commercial from The Simpsons. Take a look. I still crack-up every time I see it:

That Mr. Sparkle is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time - and, you're right, Chump Force 1, there are so many similarities it's uncanny (are totally different things are canny?).

One thing I noticed that hasn't been mentioned - the monkey jumping on the moose's eye (I can't believe I just typed that) - there's a weird sequence: the slusho cups appear, each with a flash of light and a light bell noise - a ping! Then, the monkey jumps twice on the moose eye, each time with a flash of light in the eye and the same ping! noise. No idea what it means, if anything.

Also, dtmkoatw, even if Whistle Blower isn't Teddy, the idea that WB would leave a hidden message here is a great one. Brilliant! But, what to look for in all this craziness is a tough question - it's part Mr. Sparkle (just having fun w/Japanese commercials), part JJ & Co. having fun w/all our speculation over the last few months, and part clue(s).

Anyway, the woman who swims through the moose's legs - she's wearing an oven mitt, hitting a hammer - I see that, as everyone else did - but, what's she hitting? What's she holding in her other hand that she's striking w/the hammer? Is it a wedge of cheese?

No, I don't mean the picture - I mean, whatever small thing she's holding in her left hand. She's got the mitt on her right hand, and is holding the hammer w/her right hand, but, at about 0:57-0:59 of the video (near the end), she swings the hammer down (twice) on something she's holding in her left hand - whatever it is, it's very small. See what I'm talking about?

EDIT: She's also got the picture in (or hanging from) her right hand. It happens when the monkey eats the fish - below the moose's mouth.

Hey there. I lurk. I think the noise sounds because the Slusho! cup comes from the eye like, a few seconds later. Also, it looks like there may be an image in the "moose eye sparkle". (Yeah, writing stuff like that does feel strange.) Again, it could just be the Slusho! cup, but it really does seem like something is there.

You're right about the image in the eye - or, at least, it looks like there's a kind of symbol or something in there. If I was more adept at this stuff, I'd grab a still of it and post it here, but... Confused

One other thing I just noticed: at 0:57, the little blue fish appears, but it's much bigger than usual; it's on the moose's cheek, behind and below it's mouth, and it's oriented in the same general direction as the moose's face. The bottom of the fish's mouth just touches the woman's head. ??? It happens very quickly, so you have to move the slider carefully to grab it.

Hmm, did not the Vernon McDooble character compare himself with a moose or caribu in one of his reviews?
I can't wait till I get back from University to a computer with speakers... Smile

Yeah, the only real thing I have a problem with in this whole thing is that I'm looking at the HD version of this thing, and I can try and try and try and I'll never make out what any of these blurred images are. I mean, if this is the best available version of this file and we can't see it, are we even meant to? Maybe it's more just about the fact that it's a picture frame? I don't know. I've been looking at this thing for hours and I'm about ready to gnaw off my own hands...
