I think the vid could come to the site also on monday or tuesday.

the www.slushozoom.com page (named not ARG) has two dates:
Quote:

ITS COMING - Two Dates that will change the World
Links are updated. Answers.

12-11-07
01-18-08earth.

so it would be good if they wouldnt put the video out on tuesday, so to not fulfill the fake pages prediction.

could you?! catchiangchiang;)

Are we even sure there will be a video today? Hasn't it been established that the PM's only work Monday through Friday?

My guess is (in terms of the Cloverfield world), Jamie will open the gift today, let it permeate for a while and then make a video tomorrow. I don't think we've ever gotten anything on a weekend, have we?

I like the idea though that she will video the unwrapping of the gift. If not to prove that she unwrapped it on the 9th than to keep us in the game...you know?

nope, they've worked on holidays before

and it makes no sense to promote a date in the game and then go silent on that day - something is going to happen online today. fact.

I believe they have the website coded so that the links will be added at certain dates.

And even if they don't, it's not that much work to upload a URL or a simple video. They don't have to go to their established place of work, they could just do it from home and it'll take about 30 minutes.

Black Friday isn't a holiday. And many businesses work on Thanksgiving. But there has never been anything new in this ARG on a weekend before.

On the front page of today's Chicago Tribune, there's the following large headline: "The Story of Jamie" Shocked Don't worry - it's got nothing whatsoever to do with Cloverfield. It was a bit of a shock to see that though.

I have this sinking feeling that the PM's are sitting around having a conversation like...

PM1: You had months to come up with something... that was the whole idea of the Dec. 9th thing! And, you're telling me that you haven't come up with anything yet?
PM2: Well... yes, that's right.
PM1: Damnit! Ok, well, we can hold off for one more day, but after that, there's going to be a riot.
PM2: Ugh...
PM1: Look, just go through the posts on unfiction - put something together from their ideas; I don't care what it is, just get something up there!
PM2: Ok, then, how about a plane ticket inside a teddy bear, and when Jamie goes to the airport, there's a key to a locker waiting for her and in the locker are documents about TIDO and Tagruato, and also a Slusho machine... and a monster.
PM1: Great! Run with it!

I'm posting this here instead of the "Jamie's gift" thread because, as several people pointed out, it shouldn't have been a new thread...

There were some questions (on the "jamie's gift" thread) about why they would make it December 9th, instead of 12/10, if they never add stuff on Sunday. The idea was that the date itself must have been important. I posted this a while back on another thread, but since it's come up again...

Dec. 9th is the 6th night of Chanukah this year (can any Jewish people out there confirm or deny this?), and I found this on a website talking about rituals for the 6th night of Chanukah:

Quote:
While it is common to think of there being four seasons, according to Gen. 9:22 the seasons number six. . . We also see the number six in our six pointed star, the six directions in nature (north, south, east, west, up, down), and six visible colors in the rainbow. Six is the balance and beauty of the physical world.

If the date itself is significant, then, well... I have no idea. Rolling Eyes

12/9/07

12+9 = 21
21 divided by 7 = 3
3 + monster = Monster3
Monster3 - 3 = Monster

:O
