Okay, my spin on this:

I think Teddy works at the plattform to uncover the sideeffects of Tagruatos drillings, he gets wind of something bad and sends the package to Jamie,in the box he got his promotional slushohat (I would guess packingboxes are not that common on an drilling rig) as a precaution in case something happens. The bad shit happens; he's detained. The "keepfrozen" tag might come from the lab where he stole the sample. He might not know how it goes bad when left in room temperature.

Now, Jaime lost her phone, gets a new one, with a new number, tries to contact Teddy, no success! Now Randi doesnt know her new number, enter possible clues via myspace as he/she tries to find it. The idea that Randi (a common scandinavian girls name) might be Teddys ex is fun though...

Meanwhile Tagruato is clamping down on security at all fronts, and the whistle blower sends his messages out the only possible way.

I think the idea that sea bed nectar is some ingredient that Tagruato suddenly discover has nasty side effects when not properly handled. This they try to cover this up since its just a short while untill the planned launch in the US, and that's why they test it on animals from shelters as well as human subjects (the elderly people at the old peoples home). A spill harming local wildlife might be the "incident" and what starts it of and they start detaining/killing off all connected to it. Remember, they have a lucrative business going in Japan, and dont want the public to know something might be wrong with the frozen beverage.

As to why Teddy as an employee at a drilling station should get a slusho-cap? The big launch of the beverage in NY off course. Such things usually means a lot of promostuff is sent out to employees.

I would expect "randi" to post something on the IG websites.. (Tidowave and maybe myspace) while Jaime later makes a video venting her frustrations, about Teddys disapperance ("this joke has gone to far... nobody called me, where the fck are you" sort of a video) where we learn where the sample has ended (somebody eat it by mistake, or flush it down the drain to a humid, dark place with a steady temperature?)

If there is indeed an Admin checking the boards here, I think this is the last we hear from Jamie, for good. I know with Lost, they listened to the viewers when they disliked characters (nikki & paolo) and did away with them. I think they'll take us in a new direction through Randy.

Or, going with logic (and financial reasons) as would be assumed they recorded all these videos at once within their master plan for this ARE(G?). and we'll have to sit through at least one more video before we're done with Jamie. I think they could detour around that easily though with a conspicuous note on another site.

On the tape, when Teddy says "we're on their station, ok.." - he lets out a nervous chuckle when he says "ok" (or just before 'ok'), it's the chuckle of someone excited to have gotten away with something, to have fooled someone. It's further support for the assumption that he's either working "undercover" at Tagruato as an employee, OR he's literally infiltrating the station - trespassing, stowing away, etc. The fact that he says he may be "captured" supports the possibility that he's literally sneaking around on the Chaui platform, but it's also consistent with him just being a 'planted' employee.

Also, it seems pretty clear to me that Teddy calls Randy "he" not "she." When Teddy says "he knows to call you..." I listened several times, trying to hear "she", but no dice.

The strangest thing is the "Primary Evidence, Freeze ASAP, Jamie - don't eat this." I don't think any of it is part of an official Tagruato label - as Euchre pointed out, it's unlikely that a company would label its own stuff as "Primary Evidence," and the last part to Jamie is clearly not part of a Tagruato label. "Freeze ASAP" might be, but I'd think there would something more like "Keep Refrigerated at all times" - something more official. So, I think it's safe to assume it's all from Teddy. Also, I agree with those people who think that whatever is in the bag is a familiar food item - that's why he says "don't eat this." A block of chocolate maybe? The part I do NOT get is the time delay and the "Freeze ASAP" instruction.

When did Jamie actually receive the box from Teddy? I know it was in Video 2, but does anyone know the specific date, on or about?

If he's "captured", how did he manage to (1) record himself, (2) get the tape recorder off the station, and (3) send it in a blue, gift-wrapped box to Jamie?!?

Guys, haven't you seen any movies? Recorded tapes come in a plain manilla envelope! I'm surprised she got the tape recorder!

Why wait several weeks in order to let her know "hey, I'm captured." If I'm "captured", I think it's rather important that people know that RIGHT AWAY. I don't buy the "hey, I'm captured and I might be killed, but I think I'll keep it to myself for months." And, if he waited to not get Jamie involved, she certainly is involved now.

And why mail the easily discarable piece of crucial evidence to someone that doesn't know what the hell it is?

And... um... why the hat?

None of this makes any sense. I hope things clear up.

I enjoyed a steaming plate of crow this morning after finding that the PM's did indeed give us an after-hours update. Amazing! It's been a veritable frenzy of activity around here since Thanksgiving. This video was pretty fun. It sure beat trying to extract meaning from a Happy Talk update.

This video does, though, seem to increase the number of inconsistencies that need to be resolved. A sample of, presumably, seabed's nectar is labeled as primary evidence, yet Vern Macdooble long ago wrote of how tasty it was on his dinner. Why is it "evidence" if you can stroll into a restaurant and eat some? Tagruato assures us that it is not available outside of their factories, yet Ravaille conducted testing on a sample. Maybe the hunk of it that Jamie received is in a kind of raw, unrefined form, and it undergoes some kind of processing prior to being used in Slusho, on cold fish, or even as a dessert topping .

The requested open date of December 9th is, of course, odd given the somewhat urgent nature of the message and the request to freeze the nectar ASAP. However, I get the sense that Teddy (who does sound like Woody Allen) knew he was engaging in some risky espionage, and wanted to get his sample and message out before being found or captured. If he had succeeded, he would have called Jamie and told her not to worry about what was in the package and explained everything. Otherwise, he knew that if he was captured that his situation would be exposed no later than December 9th. It just seems like a variation on the classic suspense movie device where someone going into a dangerous situation tells their accomplice something like "OK, I'm going in. If I'm not back in 30 minutes, call the police!" Teddy knew there was a risk he'd get caught, so he sent a package with instructions not to open until later, giving him enough time to try to accomplish whatever it was he was trying to do. He must have made similar arrangements with Randy, who now not having heard from Teddy either, will presumably contact Jamie to give her the scoop.

I assume he doesn't want her to call the authorities because he's basically committing crimes himself (corporate espionage, trespassing, etc) in order to find out about what's going on at Chuai Station. Tagruato could bring down Federal or International authorities on TIDOWave, and wreck their underground plans for disrupting Tagruato's activities.

I can't really come up with a decent explanation on why he would send important "primary evidence" that needs to stay frozen in a box that would just sit around for over a month. The notion that he knew it could safely sit unfrozen for around a month seems about as reasonable as anything I else we might come up with.

I look for our next update to be some messages exchanged between Jamie and Marlena on their Myspace pages. That's where they've previously discussed Jamie's lovelife, so it seems time for some more chat there.

FREEZE after exposed to light. Deep sea is very dark and primarily cold unless you are in the Mariana trench.
