I don't think she's strictly a lying, cheating bitch, but she strikes me as being pretty immature and confused about what she actually wants.

She goes through all the trouble of making the videos, yeah, but at the same time she's doing that OH SORRY really I love you the most but I might have screwed around a little last night and there's this random person in my bed that I was hiding -- oops lol -- WEIRD I don't even know them! By the way I have a bladder infection and chug stomach medicine! HOT RIGHT? ...Thing.

Her skepticism about the gift may well be warranted, but I think at this point it'd be pretty hard to argue that her being self-centered and dumber than a box of rocks has nothing to do with her writing it off.

She may not be a horrible person, but she's definitely not my definition of likable.

I watched the Video and to be fair: Her boyfriend has not been in contact for a month, and the gift turns out to be a cap and something that seems like a lame joke and/or weird break-up note. She has every right to be nonplussed.

As for the guy/girl in bed, if it really was someone she had screwed around with, don't you think she would just have recorded a new message and posted instead? Jeez, she's blond but shes not terminally stupid! We know that IG shes the one who posts these clips!

I see it more as her way of saying; Yeah Im hung over, wild party, wish you had been here instead of marlenas stupid cousin...

I don't think that was a guy in bed w/Jamie, and I don't think there's anything exceptional about her, good or bad. She just doesn't come across as anyone I'd ever want to have a conversation with - about anything. It's her demeanor, it seems like that of a stupid person. What can I say? It's an aesthetic judgment of a fictional character, i.e., it's my party and I'll cry if I want to. Wink

BUT, it's a possibility that Jamie isn't in the movie - that she's just an online character. And, assuming there's a post-movie ARG, Jamie might be the one leading us through that, she might be the (possible) ARG's main character. Sooooo, maybe they're making Jamie seem relatively shallow and juvenile, etc., in these initial videos so that it will be easier to give her character an 'arc' as the game progresses, i.e., she can evolve into a tougher, smarter person (and, it will be relatively easy to do that b/c there's nowhere to go but up from here, Jamie! Laughing

). Just a thought.

Why the hostility? Why not? I don't like her because she is such an airhead. Like a little Paris Hilton clone party girl. It is too much to expect from someone so self-centered to drop her panties and save the world. So Teddy is off saving the world, while she partys it up like there is no tomatoe. But if Teddy was the CEO of Slusho, i bet you my ricemobile she would have married him in a heartbeat. Smile

Teddy wouldn't be dead. While NYC gets razed to the ground, him and Jamie would be sipping magaritas in Boracay. I can see it now, Cloverfield: The Epic Romance Novel 'Can Teddy save his fortune and his relationship from the evil powerhungry sue happy New York lawyers who blame Slusho for what happened on 1-18-08?'

The only logical reason why this thread exists, is because Jamie has a fricking vagina. She tantalizes us with the promise of sex knowing that alot of men would slit a throat to dive into her panties. It's like watching crabs, spiders, and centipedes turn on each other in a sealed jar. Amazingly the next thread will be about, "What's wrong with women who like to have sex?" Twisted Evil

I am a Jamie-Hater for the following reasons:

1) Jamie does not respect what Teddy is passionate about. She sees it as something that interferes with their relationship. Generally, if someone doesn't like what their partner is passionate about, they don't truly like their partner.

2) Jamie is ungrateful. Teddy made a gesture and gave her a hat. She threw it aside and said: "Most people send Jewelry". I don't care how mad you are at someone, you don't act like a stupid ungrateful bitch like that when you receive a gift. I hate ungracious, entitled people.

3) Jamie is impulse oriented which is not good for any relationship. She is pleasure-bent; and obviously believes that being in a relationship shouldn't stand in the way of it. She still behaves like she's single, and doesn't want to justify the reasons why, for instance, she's got chronic UTI and has strange people in her bed. She doesn't really care how these affect Teddy because she makes very little effort to hide her wild behaviour. Strip-class? Hello.

4) She is unwilling to give Teddy the benefit of the doubt; probably because she really just wanted an excuse to get rid of him. Long distance relationship is too high-maintenance for her, obviously. She didn't even listen, decided that he was cheating on her, and never once gave pause to wonder if there was truth to his recording.

5) Jamie is selfish. There is evidence of her self-absorption in every video.

There are tons of people like Jaime who are selfish and all the things HerOdyssey mentioned, you just have to learn to cope with these people, and being a young urbanite, you met a lot of these people, and you just have to let them go.

Lily is really the only really attractive one to me, though im not saying the rest are ugly. And rob's awsome girl, shes pretty good looking.

Indeed there are Pegasissy, I meet them every day, and I also have a few in my own family. But it doesn't make them likable. They wanted to know why there was so much hating on Jamie, I gave my reasons why, and frankly, they're all perfectly good reasons to dislke a real person, let alone a fictional character.

And all in all, just because the world is replete with dickheads, doesn't mean I have to accept them or excuse them for it.

3) Sorry, but going out with friends isn't "behaving like she's single". Maybe in controlling relationships, but not in healthy ones. Now that's just plain wrong--she is way beyond just 'going out with friends'. If you are with someone in a serious relationship, you tame yourself down, it's called maturity and self-control. Going out and having a good time with friends is one thing, drinking to the point where you wake up with strangers in bed, experiencing blackouts, and showing signs of possible promiscuity? That is another ball of wax. Sorry, but life changes when you're with someone. It's not just about you anymore; you don't give up who you are, but you include consideration for the other in everything you do. Anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't really understand lasting, serious relationships... Then again, these characters are still kids, which explains a lot.

4) After no contact for months and then a crazy tape that sounds honestly like bullshit to get out of a relationship, I can't blame her for not giving him the benefit of the doubt. After no contact for a month, and my being beside myself with worry, and receiving a tape like that, no matter how far-fetched it seemed, I'd take whatever action I had to, and would grasp at any straw. In general, people tend to call cops after a only a couple of days when they haven't heard from them. And the fact that he's overseas on a mysterious job? C'mon. The fact that she wasn't even worried, and that she just took it as him ignoring her speaks volumes.

5) Jamie is American. ((LOL!!!))
