He claimed to be kidnapped by Tagruato, not to call the authorities, and that he won't be able to talk to her ever again. He also told her to talk to you, and you'd explain it all. She won't; she thinks its just a story he made up to hide that he's been with another girl. Do you know anything about this? Can you help?

 		Ok a few things.

1. I think the idea that someone suggested a while back: That teddy knows the
whilsteblower, and he shipped out the message and the package with the hat, so as to arouse suspicion.

2. I think this could work well with the 'rob is guilty' theory. Rob gets told about this by jamie. He goes, nah thats ridiculous, then gets freaked when something attacks new york. One possibility.

3. I dont blame Jamie, it sounds ridiculous.

4. Teddy may have sent the package to Jamie (as said before) for safe keeping, a package from Teddy to any memeber of TIDOwave may arouse suspicion.

5. TIDOWwave is in game. The only way its OOG is if there was a leak.

6. The 'thing' is the DSI, im pretty sure of that. The researchers said they needed a sample, and here it is.

7. I dont think the thing they are making is the monster.

8. The 'thing' may need to be frozen before a certain date, possibly allowing it to mature, or something. Chances are, Teddy explains later in the tape.

EDIT: Why do people insist on quoting the entire picture they are loling at. Is that really necessary?

 		IMO I think it's more like Slurm, from Futurama. Like it's monster sweat or something in the Slushos. Mm, delicious excretions!

Probably the seabeds nectar inside Slushos has to be extraordinarily watered down. Drinking six sodas in a row would give you a tummy-ache and some cavities under normal circumstances- never mind crazy underwater awesomeness that gives you euphoric drugged up feelings. Either an extra super high amount of the stuff is harmful, or it's harmful when exposed to something - funky temperatures, monster's proximity and all that jazz. Something like the Host's infectious, SARS like disease- only real, and not a government conspiracy. Silly Asians. Smile

If anything, the hat in the video is a definitive tie between Slusho and the events on 1-18. So we can be sure that no matter how obscure the tie, it's not just guest starring like it did on Alias.

Agreed, which would also explain why Rob looks guilty but in trailer basically says he has no idea whats going on...

I do... I think it would sound ridiculous if your bf or gf was in college and u heard that crap... but when u know that your bf is out "saving the world", even though she doesnt know details I think she should believe him when she heard that or if she doesnt hear from teddy soon to explain it was a joke or not... that should make u think... hmm... maybe he was serious...

Its interesting that you mention SARS, because SARS is also mentioned in the Slusho! commercial's Force Majeure clause:

A lot of those things are standard in most Force Majeure clauses, but the company can change it to suit their needs. "For example, in a coal-supply agreement, the mining company may seek to have "geological risk" included as a force majeure event" (Wikipedia.) I've highlighted the Force Majeure events that stick out to me.

It's just coincidental that I'm currently re-reading King's The Stand... which has to do with a deadly man-made virus killing people by the millions and spreading quickly... good fucking read.

...from a META standpoint, the hat is there clearly to finally/ once n fer all/ abso-positib-ly unequibucully fer shure link Slusho officially to the movie and to the rest of the sites, to shut up those few naysayers out there who still doubt the connection (you know who you are, peeps).

But, from a STORY standpoint, mebbe there's more to it.

What if the hat CONTAINS something important? E.G., what if the ever-resourceful Teddy Q. Hanssen (the Q is for "Quest," as in "Jonny" -- but don't quote me on that -- JOKE, PEOPLE) actually sewed a revealing document/smoking-gun proof paper into the lining? Could've been the only way he was sure it could be smuggled out...

....just throwin' that out there.

Cool vid, btw. The PMs are definitely getting a sense of humor. Wink

dude, i'm pretty sure we already got the smoking gun... there's no sense hiding a clue when he told her everything he can with the tape, and send her to randy for even more info... Randy is important. Not to the movie, but to the ARG, for sure.

 		what i find so interesting is that she doesnt finish the tape. i bet she will have 1 more video were she listens to the tape and after talking to the guy teddy said will contact her.

To those who has ordered slusho merch, do the box seems familiar to you (wrapping, tape, idk) ? I was thinking about the hat in the story and paired it with the whistle blower. This whistle blower sent some of you pieces of paper with your package. Could this be the way that Teddy got his "primary evidence"? Maybe the whistle blower sent this" primary evidence" to Teddy under the cover of buying a hat. Teddy repacked the whole thing with the recorder in and wrapped it up leaving the (now useless) hat in.

Don't hold your breath. I think its about a 50/50 chance that she makes another video. She seems pretty pissed. Here's how I break it down:
Reasons for making another video:
* 6 has been an important number. Just saying.
* She gets a call from Randy, and realizes that it might all be true.
* The DSN package goes bad, or starts expanding, infects shit in her room/fridge, or she eats it and gets sick, or something fucked up, and she makes another video, angry and scared, yelling at Teddy and asking what the fuck it is and what she should do.
Reason for not making another video:
* She doesn't want to talk to talk to Teddy ever again.
........* She takes down the site, or changes it drastically anyways.
*There's a month 'til the movie. Slusho, Tag, TIDO, and maybe even Myspace will get some updates in that time that JJ wants us focusing on.
* She ends up so sick from eating the DSN (or breathing in the fumes, if it get puntured by accident?) that she's bedridden, and can't make another video.

she IMO will make another vidoe just after randi calls her and she is sitting there like omg wtf she is going to be crying and scared and worried and sorry as hell. she then will probably say something stupid like i threw it out cause it was from you. and that ends up being the start of a chain of events that lead to 1-18
