Here's the html from around "swiss army knife":

I'm not really html literate, but I can tell there's no link there. It looks like TPTB over at TIDO just wanted it to look funny?

Works better if you turn HTML off in the post.

<span>Swiss Army Knife</span><br>

I think this is very important.

Think back to the question that Teddy posed to Jamie.

"Six, six times"

Can someone who is good with CSS let us know if something is hidden in that code?

I tried to post this earlier but something happened with my computer-
when I googled "Swiss Array Knife" I found some interesitng results indicating that "Swiss Army Knife" is a Web application or function in code. I'm not a CompSci Major though, but maybe this is useful since you were asking about the code?

I think the warm towel is a hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy reference.

Hello. Long time lurker, first time poster, so I apologize if I'm doing this wrong... Embarassed

Does it strike anyone else as odd that this "survival kit" is horrible for survival? That if one did find oneself "alone in a jail cell for hours or trapped outdoors with inadequate food, clothing, or hygiene options", most of these things would be useless or a poor substitute for something better?

First of all, a small comb has no real use whatsoever in a crisis like that. A person with a small comb might, at best, trade it for something more worthwhile.

Secondly, a flare gun and compass are only useful if one is outside. A jail cell with adequite room to use a flare would be strange indeed. And a compass would be useful if you had to move around, not if you were locked up or otherwise forced to a certain place.

Thirdly, the dried fruit and jerky both lack one vital component: water. Now, a human can survive much longer without food than water, or rather, one dies sooner without water than without food. These things would only be helpful if there is an accessible source of water. Such a source would be either:
A. A river or stream outdoors. This is unlikely as even then, any survival expert will tell you that water like that should be purified first, to remove harmful organisms in the water, and the kit comes with nothing of the sort. And even if a person was expected to just drink water from the stream and assume it safe, one would also come to the conclusion that there was some plants or animals utilizing the stream. If the stream was healthy and safe to drink, it would only be natural for life to exist in the vicinity, almost certainly some of it edible. If this were the case, why would there be food in the kit?
or
B. An intervening human in a jail cell. Again, this is unlikely. If someone were supplying water that was safe to drink, he or she would probably couple it with some sort of food. If they were doing that, it would render the point of having jerky and fruit moot.
In any case, the food comes off as either unnecessary or nonsensical.

"Warm towel" is obviously some sort of code word or some such, so I can't really comment on that.

All in all, it is obvious that this terrible survival kit is either meant to look like it was done by an amatuer and is simply establishing fluff to make it look more realistic, or, more likely, it is not really a survival kit at all but some sort of way of sending either members (inside the game) or players (outside) information, in the post or in the kit itself, however it may be attained.

You don't think he means, like, Friday? I for one hope he does. That's a lot less waiting.

Also, I googled warm towel for like 45 minutes. Nothing. So LAME.

I found it odd that he mentioned jail and then was like don't forget your flare gun and knife! o_o

Or maybe the Tidos have been watching MacGyver and know how to assemble a comb+knife+towel+flare gun that runs on dried foods??

...

"warm towel"... after all the talk on the other sites about freezing...

*does her best L impression as she ponders*

I think its a possibility that the "Survival Kit" is some way to try and pass a message to Teddy, telling him to inact certain measures. Maybe Teddy has/had Internet access on Chuai and so they are attempting to tell him something, hoping he still has it. This would also explain why they aren't yet grieving his disappearance

Looked for anagrams in "warm towel" ... Didn't find anything clue-like.

I posted this in the other topic involving Tidowave, but I wanted to be redundant...

An "array" can be used to describe a collection of satellites in orbit. Maybe this has something to do with the Tagruato Satellite...in case something goes "array"???

All of this reminds me of the Twelve Monkeys story formula. Except time travel of course.

You have an extremist green organization talking about revolution and you potentially have a TIDO member smuggling out some sort of evidence, possibly even of a genetic nature.
