[INFO] Rating for Cloverfield on Website

on www.cloverfieldmovie.com the rating has been added on the bottom. It is PG-13 for violence, terror, and disturbing images. Just thought I would let everyone know.

Damn... I'm really disappointed now.

EDIT: Also tag this as [NEW] for now, as well as [INFO].

This really really sucks.

I honestly don't think there's any way this could be good now.

Oh come on guys, don't let some stupid rating bring you down. This movie is going to kick ass.

If I end up having to eat those words, I apologize in advance lol.

There will be no realistic horrifying deaths, there will be no graphic...anything.

There will be stupid kids in the theater who don't know when to shut the fuck up.. lets see..what else? Clearly the monster isn't that scary if it's PG-13. I wanted a monster so messed up that I wouldn't be able to sleep at night.

Isn't that what JJ wanted? A real gruesome monster for America?

I am putting all my hopes for an extended DVD or a unrated something along the lines of "The Complete Tape(s)", "The Unrated Tapes" or something.

oh come on guys dont be bummed out... PG 13 really isnt wat it used to be and i'm sure abrams and co. only edited the content down cuz they wanted the max number of ppl to be able to watch it... i mean godzilla wasnt rated R right? Laughing and "Violence, Terror, and Disturbing Images"... yeah still sounds like they'll give us enough... so no nudity and the word "mother Censored " oh well... it'll still be crazy!

Yeah, I mean we need the language, we need the death to make this film realistic. At the same time, lets hope he bent the rating and that it actually IS deserving of an R. We'll see. But I'm slightly annoyed by this.

Either way, it could be up to our imagination, such as the camera moving too quickly for us to see a FULL death, leading our imagination to fill in the gaping blank of "What the hell just happened to that person?" , which would make it all the more horrifying.
