1. Can someone direct me to the post where someone deciphered the Survival kit as directions o break teddy out; "warm towel=cold and wet... small comb=small group of people combing the area...jerk=jerk/break him out of there....flare gun=shoot a flare when you get there..." and i forgot how the rest went. i remember really liking that interpretation, but now i've lost it.
2. Isn't there a way to break a code by using a word or letter as the key, and then changing the different letters using that key? I'm not 100% on how to do it, but I've seen it done. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, I would assume one of these letters would work: S, A, K, (Swiss Army Knife) T, I, D, O...

Not to mention I'd feel really bad if someone involved with this got fired just because they picked a really stupid password for an OOG site.
Fair point. This is why I've taken the liberty of going OOG and contacting Paramount Pictures [Waits for the boo's for being a spoilsport]
Don't worry. I've not named UF or anything of the nature; just contacted their press office for information on the movie and certain sites; to be safe.
Good thinking. Here's hoping that they don't give some weird cryptic answer that once again leaves us on teetering on the edge of that hack/no hack divide. G'night guys.

What I'm talking about, I realize, is substitute ciphering. I still don't know how to do it, but it takes full words, i think. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

I don't think there's any doubt; we were not meant to hack the TIDOwave blog. They're supposed to be on "our" side, remember? In the game world, anyone who hacks them is an agent of Tagruato. Besides, what can you learn from getting in to the system?
They've apparently learned their lesson from the last series of hacks and beefed up their passwords. It might not be enough to stop a cadre of dedicated BF crackers, though, so I'm hoping we can end it right here. The TIDOwave site needs to be off limits... we're finally getting action, and you want to ruin it?

I just read a post were someone asked why SPLAT in the email adresses. someone replied:
Quote:
means to thwart the email bots that comb the internet for addresses
--> so now my thought was :
is meant like: " do a quick, a small restricted search " (maybe on google)...
so maybe the list are orders. 1st do this, second that, then 3rd search...
EDIT: but i am still a fan of the array thing!

I had kinda thought of that. More like a "warm blanket"/"warm clothing" kinda thing. It actually makes a lot more sense because obviously it would be impossible to keep a towel warm for (presumably) days at a time.
I also still think it could be a code for something, having nothing to do with a towel at all. I dunno, time will tell... maybe we won't know until the 14th?

Dunno why I thought of this but I was analyzing the word "Warm Towel" in my head and begun to think of "Tall Whale" lol
Slightly O/T I know but still humerous to me
EDIT: Alright I've just got off the phone to someone @ PARAMOUNT PICTURES Press office and they say someone's "looking into it" And will email me ASAP.
/taps fingers on desk waiting.

Believe it or not I've been thinking the same thing; about margaret and even tried it as a password on the blog lol.
On another subject matter, I posted the following on the O/T "Lost" post but it kind of makes sense and relevence here too.

Hold on... I'm getting it. IT'S ALL POINTING TO LOST/LOCKE!! /humor
But seriously... DRIED Fruit... Locke almost ALWAYS has a "Swiss Army Knife" with him [yes the pocket knife is dubbed SAK] - Warm Towel not necessarily but still - Sawyer carries a comb with him [or did at least] - They used a flare gun on several occasions; The WEIRD Compass on LOST... AND They had JERKY! [I remember a Sawyer quip about it!]
Oi Vey!

I'm suspecting that the very first public comments on the TIDOWave blog were IG and that the woman in the blue shirt mentioned by LazyD is Margaret.

Dude... Simmer down it's a movie/tv show/Game.
They might not have had time to get "dried" ones and just chucked those in. It's a possibility even IF extremely far fetched.
yeesh! lol
