INVADER ZIM: THE MOVIE
Today: My father(employee of CLOVERFIELD) and I went to see this movie. Coming in with expectations I was told by a source who claimed to be apart of BAD ROBOT. However after I walked out of the theater, It seemed to all fit. Even the trailers had references to Invader Zim.
Ex) The explosion is a reference to one episode, where Zim, by accident, makes an explosion that expands slowly, threatening the city.


The plotline of the movie, isn't all about Zim, Dib, Gir or other favorites. Its more about what chaos Zim creates by accident.
For those of you who don't know what the show is...

The monster is the one and only: ULTRA PEEPI
The class hamster.

Here is the plotline of the movie(NOTE: NO BACK STORY TO ZIM, DIB, OR GIR IS IN THIS MOVIE. DIB MAKES A SHORT APPEARANCE, BUT ZIM AND GIR ARE IN IT THROUGH THE WHOLE THING. THEY ARE NOT HUMAN SIZE BUT MERELY ABOUT 4 FEET TALL)

Plot

All of Ms. Bitters' are completely enamoured by the new class hamster named Peepi. Zim is initially frightened by it, but when he notices its effect on the kids, he fantasizes on how he could use the hamster's "cuteness" to hypnotize humans into doing his bidding. Later that night, Zim enters the school and attaches an alien device to Peepi. The next morning, the hamster is three times its normal size, and before Zim is able to finish his plan of controlling it, it escapes. It heads into the city, and begins mutating bigger and bigger. It begins eating fences, light posts, then begins gnawing away at buildings as it has grown to a monsterous size (completely with a monsterish shriek). Zim then tries to take control of Peepi by speaking into his wrist device. It has no effect, however, and Peepi continues destroying or eating everything in his path.

Now dubbed "Ultra Peepi," the monster goes on a rampage of destruction and death. However, the townspeople seem to be completely overcome with the creature's cuteness, they don't mind all that much, even when they are about to be killed. As Zim witnesses all this, he realizes Ultra Peepi is doing what he wanted, destroying the humans, so he decides he can just let him continue. In a military tent, military men are trying to strategize when Dib rushes in and tells them about Ultra Peepi's origin, but he is thrown out when he does not give a solution. Meanwhile, Zim relaxes with GIR on the couch, convinced his plan is working fine. Alarmed by a loud thump, he goes outside and finds Ultra Peepi heading toward his house. He demands the creature to stop, but it is completely oblivious to him. He tries to fend it away by attacking it with the Voot cruiser, but the monster easily dispatches of him.

Zim develops a plan: flying the Voot, Zim finds Ultra Peepi and tempts him with a hot dog stand shaped like a giant hot dog in a bun being carried in its tractor beam. With Ultra Peepi chasing him, Zim lures him to an amusement park and afixes the giant hot dog to a ferris wheel and adheres four large disks onto it. Peepi then approaches and eats part of the ferris wheel, tearing it off its foundation. As the military finally opens fire on the giant hamster, Zim pushes a button. The disks on the ferris wheel, which are actually jets, activate and Peepi is pulled up a little. More mechanical arms are strapped around Peepi, and he is fired off into the sky. Zim makes a half-hearted attempt to console a sniveling child that the monster will live on in space, but it is seen in the background crashing down to the earth and exploding.

 		Dude, I miss Invader Zim. That would be cool if this was an Invader Zim movie, but it's not.

I must say, yes - I must, this is the best hair-brained, B.S. "spoiler" yet.

Kudos for actually making a couple of us laugh. Most [HUMOR] threads don't really qualify, and I think they're just tagged that way to keep those of us with pitchforks and torches at bay. Smile

You know, OliMango, there was a time in this world where being able to make people laugh was an admirable quality, and highly sought after.
