Hold on... I'm getting it. IT'S ALL POINTING TO LOST!! /humor
But seriously... DRIED Fruit... Locke almost ALWAYS has a "Swiss Army Knife" with him [yes the pocket knife is dubbed SAK] - Warm Towel not necessarily but still - Sawyer carries a comb with him [or did at least] - They used a flare gun on several occasions; The WEIRD Compass on LOST... AND They had JERKY! [I remember a Sawyer quip about it!]
Oi Vey!
They're not dried lemons.
Dried lemons are like, brown, those lemons are fine.

Either way my personal tutor @ University is a man named Dr. David Lavery - Who wrote a very well sold/selling book on the secrets of LOST - And has connections w/ J.J [his website is davidlavery.net/]
I've emailed him asking him about the movie and any connection besides J.J to LOST that he might know of; I'm going into Uni to see him tomorrow so I'll ask personally then too.

Go find a picture of dried lemons, they're brown, not yellow/green. The lemons in the video are yellow/green.

There is a discussion on ABC.com about the "6" here:

I definitely just quit caring about Cloverfield, CHARLIE IS IN THE TRAILER.
As in, everyone's favorite hobbit is not, repeat, NOT dead. Probably. He still might be. But whatever.
Awesomeness.

If you do a search, you'll find lots of conversation kicking around the idea that this is a Lost movie. Generally, people hated the idea. I kind of liked it, but with reservations.
Three pieces of evidence that I recall folks were drawing on in theorizing the connection:
1) that the roars were similar--although not identical,
2) the name of the movie was rumored to be "Found", and
3) 1-18-08 is 1-08 if you're just looking a the month and year. (108 of course having special significance to Lost fans).
Concerning the roar, I think Abrams (at comicon? I don't know.) pointed his fans to the roar as an important piece of information (which led to tremendously tedious dissections of the sound file). Also, the roar plays (or played?) exactly 6 minutes after 1-18-08.com opens. So- the roar is significant; it's similar to fog monster's roar; it happens 6 minutes after you open 1-18-08; the number 6 is featured in Lost's new season promo.
Certainly nothing conclusive, but interesting, right?
My feeling on Lost's role in the Cloverfield movie are similar to my feelings on Slusho: it'd be best if they shared a universe, but not an actual plot line.

This one has 6 at the last second, weird... "You can't drink just 6!"
Maybe JJ just likes that number.

Well said. I am seriously doubting Slusho! is part of the Cloverfield plot, but it is obviously related to the movie.
