It's shocking how much of the things we've seen from trailers and such is in the first few minutes of the film.

That means: There's a whole lot more!

Yeppers. You also see the building it decides to destroy, and it confirms that the clip is not a "building collapsing", as some people claimed.

Edit: The monster clip is not a building collapsing, as some people claimed. Not sure if my grammar was too good there. When the monster destroys the empire state building (or whatever that was), there's a wall of dust and debris that doesn't happen when you see the monster, therefore it was a monster, not a falling building.

Also, get ready for the 9/11 complaints like WOAH.

I get the impression this is the very beginning of the movie. The buliding of the characters will probably be done through JJs love of flashbacks. That means even though a 90 minute film, the action starts almost immediatly

I think that is the second news clip, because she says that earlier they reported on a possible earthquake.

Personal SPEC here but maybe Marlene or Marlena or w/e is getting sicker or sickly because the monster is getting so near and the Slusho! is reacting. just saying.
