[META] A name for us?

If this really is the Beast Part 2 (as it seems to be), I think we need to name ourselves (as the Cloudmakers did then). In fact, Dana seems to hint at this very thing, as she talks about her aunt wanting to make a new variety of honey for us, but not knowing what to call it.

So does anyone have any good suggestions for what we should be refered to as? My first thought was of course the Beekeepers, but for one it's easy and cheesy, and we're not sure if we should be "keeping" the bees or working against them yet. Maybe something along the honey lines, maybe the horrible "HoneyMakers" in reference to the CloudMakers?

I kinda like Beekeepers, it's been casually used already when setting op the IRC channel, and it has a nice ring to it. Maybe it's a little too early to decide on a name though, because we haven't seen much more then ilovebees.com?

Hi Dana!

What alot of conversation -- there are so many different ideas being thrown about. It reminds me of my old friend Jeanine Salla. Anyway, I don't have any good technical advice for you, but I wish you the best of luck.

That Jeanine Salla is also on CloudMakers:

But CloucMakers is offline...

I don't know what this means, but that Medox seems like an important person...

Jeanine Salla was a key character in the AI game, the Beast. I think Madox is just noting that there are similarities between how she was found and how we got led to Dana, Margaret, and ilovebees.com.

Besides, he's from Rochester, NY. You just can't trust people from Rochester... Very Happy

What's the origin of the CloudMakers name? A brief googling didn't turn up anything.

beekeepers doesn't bug me, but i agree it *might* be a good idea to wait to see if the rest of this is going to be bug related at all.

Well, true, but as it turned out, Cloudmaker the boat wasn't a big part of the Beast.

BeeKeepers

As a former Cloudmaker, I think we should go with BeeKeepers. It has a nice ring to it, plus we need to choose a name so a to have a cohesive name quickly. Yes, CM had little to do with the whole Beast, but it was a great name and related to the rabbit hole of the game.

Even if this game is a Halo2 related plot, it is a cool name regardless of the nature of the game.

But it's so OBVIOUS. Surely we can come up with something more subtle or clever.
