Tidus, I know from experience that mistakes are often made by both sides of the curtain. I'm glad you're reconsidering and going back to developing the game. It seems the players all enjoyed the game, I hadn't had the opportunity to play as I've got my hands full with other things Wink but I did see a headsup that there was a bts thing over here in this thread and investigated.

One thing to always remember, if you don't want players knowing who you are - don't leave footprints Smile 99% of players can do a good bit of background checking that's easy, the other 1% may go a little too far and I don't understand their feeling of need to do so as they're pushing the bounds of the game (then again so is posting personal information about the players - lol)...

best of luck to you with the remainder of this game, everything I've looked at so far is really good.. send me a pm sometime on here for some more meta discussions sometime if you ever need help or someone to lean on... #pm-guide in the unfiction chat is another place that's good to hang out at. Smile

I missed so much, I've been away since Monday Sad His blog page is gone. What's happened since Monday? I've heard some people's IP addresses were posted, what happened? I have a server running on my IP.

Doug, just read back a couple of pages and catch up. Thankfully, it's all been resolved now.

Okay, well I say that our first course of action should be to just forget about all of this and get back to trying to figure out the pseudo-hex from Steve's email, figuring out why there was distortion in the video, and getting the next coordinates figured out when the opportunity arises. So I think we should just get on with this and get back in TINAG mode. Smile

From the latest movie / piece of info we had..

(screen starts out with the normal fuzzy look we have become accustomed to from Jeff's videos.) OK, (screen clears up) I'm back now. I had to get another piece. Here's our documentation tape 83 for (bleep)labs? I am in lab 19 right now. We are putting our final touches to the (bleep) camera. This is camera 1 of 2. I was only assigned to do one camera but I decided I better have two just in case. Um, my circuits are all set up. Pretty much just a test. I want to see what else I can see. This is the first camera. This is what I designed. (shows us camera two, the one he designed) It's a separate, a separate lens. I've taken a converter and put it to the lens. So we can see (bleep) hopefully. That's for camera number two. Camera number one (points back to the camera and circuit boards etc. on the table) is just a simple design. Our black box with intel, two caps, a transfer lead wire. Kinda like a neutral wire just in case. Set up going to the hard drive and back to the computer. So we can display (bleep) Here's the I/O card we designed and it's running straight through the tape deck into the I/O ports of the camera. I'm going to finish up this (blood curdling scream in the background) tape. Oh shit! (runs to check out scream) (we now hear a terrible screetching noise and the screen goes black)

Guys, let's just give it some time.

I think Jeff will get in touch with one of us as soon as he can. I seem to remember he said he needed to find a more secure place to communicate with us after JB compromised his blogspot.

Game on.

so the marsh it is

going back to the voice mail that said:

Quote:
Look at your map go see Duane Arnold at the Power Plant. He will direct you toward the marsh.

Then we had the co-ordinates for Duane Arnold Power Plant parking lot and those for a parking lot at Palo Marsh. Then we get these from Steve.

E4 A6 D8 A4 D6 E8 D5 E6 A8 A4 D6 E8

My thinking is that these are directions to the next pill, either starting from the parking lot of the Power Plant or the Marsh. Maybe there is something at the plant that will point the way. I am updating my Google Earth and will have a closer look in a few. Right now we need to find out how the above code might be directions.

dunno why it would be, but I'm thinking musical notes. "E4 A6 D8" shows up under a google search for a "tab" - I can get a midi generator to create it but the 8s are converted to 7s...

While looking at the code and thinking about the map coordinates and it occured to me... The code sounds a lot like battleship coordinates. Maybe we could divide a map our something into plots A-E horizontally and 1-8 vertically.

By the way I am so glad this is still going. I really want to finish my first ARG!
