[SPEC] Map on the Tagruato site
Does this confirm origin of the moster?

I am quite sure that this may be very old news to those of you who have researched these topics for a long period of time.

With that said, the interactive map on the Tagruato site has a drilling location known as Chuai. Of all the drilling sites listed, this is the one with the closest proximity to New York City.

The most interesting aspect to this is that the opening date for the Chuai location. It says September 2007. All of the other locations have been open for some time. To me, this is a clear tie in to the movie and that the origin of the moster will not be outer space or another demension but from right underneath the Atlantic Ocean.

For those of you who have been searching for a while now, how did the tie-in with the Tagruato site begin? I am so fascinated by the way this movie is being marketed.

I'm not sure how Tagruato was initially found, but the Chuai station (it's opening date and proximity to NYC) has been a topic of conversation and speculation for a while now. Do a search of the Unfiction Cloverfield forums for "Chuai" and you'll find all of it. Smile

Tagruato was found by translating the newest picture on 01-18-08.com. It turned out to be a recipe for sushi, with "Katai No Mitsu"(sp) as an ingredient. Googling that leads you to Vernon Macdoob's restaurant reviews, and from there you get Tagruato. Smile

I think another interesting thing about all the sites is that the one close to New York also has the most employees which means its also probably the biggest and/or most important.

small curiosity here..

does anyone think significance may lay in the history page of the tagruato site. For some reason every original name for Tagruato before it was taken over by Ganu and its original team were told to shove off has been erased, replaced with ???

I would assume this means a fraction of the original company may still exist as a separate entity.

veery interesting.. (Dr Evil Laugh)

No, you got it all wrong. The places where you see ??? is where the company name is typed in Japanese. Your browser must not support Japanese characters. The name of the company 力の手, means "hand of power"

I'm sure Tagruato was found before that, didn't people find it from the email address on the Sluso! site?

No, the first description is correct (although the recipe wasn't for sushi). The Tagruato e-mail address on slusho.jp was put there some time after tagruato.jp was discovered.
