[INFO/SWAG] Additonal clues at Microsoft media event

Hello all. I am an editor with Electronic Gaming Monthly and have posted elsewhere about receiving the now familiar jar of honey. I need to double check the date, but sometime around the first of September, Microsoft is holding a Halo 2 media event. If I am unable to attend, my coworkers most certainly will. We'll be on the lookout for additional clues, including url's and whatnot. Happy hunting.

Did you get the Bellevue or the Seattle one?

EGMShawn, I have read that the next issue of EGM comes out August 24 (the day of the countdown). The current issue features a blurb that reads "And watch for our top-secret, world-exclusive cover story! Can't tell you what it is now, but in a few weeks, you'll be able to say hello to an awesome new game that everyone will be dying to play."

You sound like you're just as clueless as the rest of us, so your magazine has nothing to do with any of this? This isn't leading up to a Halo 2 demo packaged with EGM's upcoming issue?

Sadly, no

Pure coincidence Guesty, I assure you. If anyone gets a playable demo, and that is a big if, it'll be Official Xbox Magazine.

Well, so tomorrow is Throttling Erosion Day - and also the first day of meltdown, isn't it?

I wonder how much they would really drop at an event that the general public couldn't get to; but it seems as good a place as any right now...

Possible Event Clue

Jeanine Salla's business card was given out at a function closed to the public, and had quite valuable information--in an obscure Hindi dialect, if I recall correctly... It also made the net less than a day after it came out.

That's right...

*retracts last statement*
