That last code is base 64 for:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You've chosen to tune in.

Find this musiscian, and I'll tune you in further.

TURN BACK. RUN AWAY. DON'T LISTEN. DON'T LISTEN. HELP ME!

We did it in two days, congrats to us. Though musician is spelled wrong. What musician however?

Great solve!

That last part's a little scary, though... Is one of this guy's victims (zombies, w/e) trying to warn us?

Yeah, really sweet solve! I would've never gotten it in a million years Wink

Anyway, I found the last bit sorta interesting as well. It makes me think about the story so far. When he was in the party doing the experiment, he seemed to be extremely reluctant, constantly asking "What am I doing here?" kinda questions.

Makes me wonder if he's fully in control of his own faculties or is also unknowingly being manipulated by someone (something?) else. It's like the Us v Them track that is on the 151.151FM board. It's stated that there's something a little weird about the track, but I'm not familiar with this tune.

I'm thinking that he stumbled upon something that sounded "strange" before embarking on these experiments so maybe he's as much of a pawn as the ones he manipulates. If so, maybe the last part of the code was his conscious self breaking through with a message to not follow him down the same path, not to listen and become a puppet.

Although, I already listened to that track... does that mean it's too late for me? Sad

Edit: By the way, if he's looking for the musician(s) of the track that got posted (Us V Them) I think it's LCD Soundsystem off the CD Sound of Silver. I was just listening to a clip at Amazon and it sounded like the same song. http://www.amazon.com/Us-V-Them/dp/B000SX89VQ

Way to go Shutaro. All that mess i made was for nothing. Oh well, here's the next blog entry:

You puppets, you surprised me! I didn't think you'd be able to crack that code, but you've really impressed me.

Of course, thats a bad thing. I'll just need to up the strength on the signal.

Here's something to whet your appetite while you think about the answer to the puzzle, (which is another puzzle, too.)

10000101 00010000 00001000 01111000 01001000 01010001 00000000 10000101 10000100 10000111 01101000 10000111 00010000 00001000 01110110 10001000 01011000 01001000 01010001 00000000 10000101 00010000 00001000 01011000 01001000 01010001 00010110 10000101 10000100 10000111 10000100 10000111 00010000 00001000 01010001 00010110 10000101 10000100 10000101 00010000 00001000 01010001 00000000 10000101 00000110

Its an enigma, wrapped in mystery, with a slice of BarBQue on top!

Hmm... I prefer my enigmas wrapped in bacon. I'll poke at this when I get home from work.

First of all, the PM is officially my hero for mentioning Barbecue. Smile

Second, I decoded the binary and ended up with this. I got some of those little boxes of doom, so I think I'm missing some kind of language-pack download.

Hm...

Another interesting thing is that he said that it's bad that we solved the puzzle and that he needed to up the signal strength. Is he trying to control us? Spooky.

By the way, the 151.151FM blog's been updated too.

Quote:
I met a young man today at the station.

He gave me a disk called "151.151FM"

There was nothing but static and faint whispering on it,

but I swear I could here something.

Am I going insane?!

I'm digging the story so far.

Where is this? Is it on the net? If so, can you give us a link. Because everything I gogle about 151.151 comes up with wells fargo or in some language I can't read or something totally unrelated.

crap I just hit submit and Softwired I see that you know of a 151.151FM blog. Has this been mentioned and I've just overlooked it? What's the link?

Edit: never mind I see it now. I've just been trying to do too many things the last few days. Sorry

I could think of a few particularly cruel puzzles to use in this case, especially given the binary, but the number of groups of digits isn't right. If you look at some of the other versions of it, you can see some curious patterns:

Hex:
Code:
85 10 08 78 48 51 00 85 84 87 68 87 10 08 76 88 58 48 51 00 85 10 08 58 48 51 16 85 84 87 84 87 10 08 51 16 85 84 85 10 08 51 00 85 06

Decimal:
Code:
133 16 8 120 72 81 0 133 132 135 104 135 16 8 118 136 88 72 81 0 133 16 8 88 72 81 22 133 132 135 132 135 16 8 81 22 133 132 133 16 8 81 0 133 6

Note the repetitions and groupings (at first I thought it was a repeating pattern, but there are differences):

Code:

133 132 135
133 132 135

133 16 8
133 16 8

16 8 81
16 8 81

16 is always followed by 8.

Substitution cipher?

If it makes you feel any better, Sylvia, I just found it, too. I was confused by all this 151 talk and then I looked and saw the blog in Doom's profile.

---

That said, is this IG:

http://profile.imeem.com/ptq5JbL

?

Also, I find it interesting that numerous different people are posting on the 151 blog. And they were 'already logged in.' Hm...
