In case it was a phone number, thinking the "YOU" was a "U" and therefore an 8, these numbers were tried:
206.U54.7562 - disconnected
206.5U4.7562 - disconnected
206.54U.7562 - fast busy
206.547.U562 - disconnected
206.547.5U62 - Wrong Number. DO NOT CALL!
206.547.56U2 - Wrong Number. DO NOT CALL!
206.547.562U - disconnected

According to myspace Amanda lives in Flagstaff. So why not try the 928 Area Code?

All the card phone numbers thus far have been from the Seattle Based "Laser Voice Mail System." With a (206) area code.

I goofed around with frame 15 from th Lost.htm page last night and didn't see anything of note, other than the outline of an "S" made be the stair treads.

I didnīt find anything too. But I notice that her My Space adress is in fram 15 in the first page. Also, the frame 15 on lost.htm is her.... Maybe that means something...

maybe random but this is what the word cound on AIW produces:
"down, I think' (for, you see, Alice had learnt several things of this sort"
I'm stumped on this one

I'm stumped too, but it could be a range, as VooDooChild suggests. I get the same words from AIW (adding one word at either side 'miles' and 'in' if the numbers are inclusive rather than exclusive).
Lost by the Cure only has 326 words.

WOOT!! close... so close so I sent 3C this:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"down, I think—' (for, you see, Alice had learnt several things of this sort" - words 547-562 in Alice In Wonderland
And she sends back this:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Wow, so close!!!
So now I have to go mull this over with some niccotine and espresso
I added the inclusive words, as doublecross suggested... we'll see.
Another thought: perhaps YOU is an acronym for a book (like AIW)... suggestions?

I think you're in the wrong chapter.
I've sent in my answer and we'll see what happens.

Okay, we're 9/10ths of the way there....
Regarding Amanda's hint:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
547-562, counting words in Chapter 2 (not from the beginning of the book) the phrase she's calling to our attention is:
"the next question is, Who in the world am I? Ah, that's the great puzzle!"
To which she responded:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Ooh baby! Wellll, so answer - WHO IN THE WORLD ARE YOU?! You guys get like 9/10th of the way there and pfft!
Edit: fixed the chapter number. Thanks DC.

Valrik, great find, but do you not mean chapter *2*?
Interesting that 3C's section is before the parts that 2S (how doth the little...) and 3D (pool of tears) referred to.

I think we may be trying to hard.
My e-mail to her:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I've been mulling it over. You keep asking us who we are. Well, I know I am me. I am a 21 year old who is about to have a baby. My name is Lane, and I am from the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Is it you just want to get to know us? Or is it something that I'm just completely overlooking?
Her response:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Congratulations Mommy!!! Thats awesome. Babies are cool but like when my
nephews got older they are HILARIOUS. If the question is Who Am I? then I
want to know Whe Are You? so you got it. Thanks!!!
I guess she didn't get my e-mail from earlier that I'm a guy. Dunno if this is going to be considered for the bulletin, or if it's for lost, though.[/spoiler]

I haven't gotten anything right so far... but I get the impression that you're answer is for both. we each have a million stories to tell and there are some people who actually enjoy knowing who you are.
But I really thought this particualr question was going to come from the Caterpillar.
