So, any chance that the totals we get when summing up the items are a code?

I haven't looked at them but often numbers are used for coded messages. If there is something to find, I wouldn't expect it to be too difficult. The "anagram" was basically spelled out on the lines by reading forward and backwards. I think we made this harder than it was, but then again, it could be nothing.

It seems everyone thinks these memos are coming from Chuai station.
I think that is wrong, the whistle blower is in Tagruato Headquarters.

The first memo:
It came with Japanese clippings which are to give the impression the package came from Japan. Slusho is a subsidiary of Tagruato. The Judgment Council??? Top Secret? This sounds like high level stuff located at the Headquarters. This could be a memo issued at Headquarters TO Chuai Station. This could also explain why the memo gives guidelines to authenticate the memo as it doesn't originate at Chuai.
What was the incident which caused a mail shutdown? Teddy mailing the package to Jaime? Or the capture of Teddy who copped to mailing something?

The second memo:
The email comes from a .jp address so we are clearly supposed to think it originates in Japan IMO.

"Americans, No Oil Here!"
Maybe here does not mean Chuai but here as in here in this memo.
The WB is saying "Look what I found! A memo dealing with oil production and Chuai isn't on it.". So, "They must have known before they built!"

File name...may be important but I haven't figured any more than anyone else yet.

Updated Spreadsheet

This is my latest effort. I added a few tabs to show the actual and the difference. I also show the profit difference calculation that totals 6.

I don't know if it adds a lot of value or not, but it's interesting at the least.

$10,881 Per barrel?

Seems a lot higher than usual. I think oil tends to be closer to $90 per barrel these days. Those must be some serious barrels of oil.

Quoting myself is cool.

This is obviously a reference to one of the drilling rigs. One was built on an area that contains no oil, and our Whistleblower theorizes that Tagruato knew this before building the rig. This means that the rig was built to drill for something else or for some other secretive reason. *NOT to drill for oil*

And your point is...?

For people to read back so they don't post the same things over and over. People like that waste forum space. As for me, call it a pet peeve.

Oh, ok...so your dozen or so posts on this topic with just emoticons or gleeful references to Sumo Penis don't waste space? Rolling Eyes

This topic had 9 pages in its first couple of hours, now we're up to 17...things go fast around here and more then one person may have something to say on the same subject, so get over it.

My posts are worthwhile, whether they're about "Sumo Penis" or not because they contribute something original in some way, even if it is just comical relief. Every time I see or enter a new thread, I read up on everything posted beforehand. If I can't think of anything that doesn't sound like it's already been referred too, than I don't post. I entered this when it was a new topic. I had the opportunity to express original ideas and I did. I read every post that came afterwards, grumbled at some, marveled at some, agreed with some, smiled at some, and laughed at some. Either way, I read every post because posting something that has already been stated is counter-productive, and brings us back a step from which we might have to argue about again and might lead us in different directions. If it's too much or too long for you to read, than you might as well simply observe. I don't mean to sound rude, or aggressive, but i'm not decorated or recognized, so this is my chance to contribute something significant.

Does the file name coincide with the "Survival Kit" post? Maybe we have the key now to figure it out? Also... a bit OT but We got 6 pics on 1-18-08.com, we are at 5 jamie vids and we have gotten 2 tag memos... Maybe 6 is how many clues from each site or location...

Why? Do you contradict any of my posts?

I have been playing with this all day and found nothing. I urge you to fiddle with it, as I suspect you're right, but I've only found an exercise in frustration so far. Sad
