I hope no one feels that I'm speaking out of turn because I'm new. I've been lurking for some time (mostly because of Year Zero, it's how I found this place Year Zero was neat but I think I almost like fan created ones better) so if I ever become a moron, please trout me and let me know what I'm doing wrong. Smile

I'm not sure if I should actually email Jeff about these questions, I know the board tries to work together.

While trying to poke out these codes and figure out the images, I think we should be questioning Jeff on his camera. I know he doesn't remember much. We aren't sure what it really does, but what are the capabilities we are sure of? Does the camera or has it done anything else weird since he's gotten sick?

Does the camera take stills? I'm not sure whether those first freaky images of Jeff's face were stills or single frames of the videotape of him taking the pill. Can we see that video, if it exists?

What happens when neither Steve nor Jeff (someone unrelated) is videotaping? Will we still hear voices and see images? It is the camera that is...corrupted(?) or is it people involved in the situation?

When examining the camera, can he remember anything about how it was made or whether a special process went into it? What does his engineering training tell him? (That's his job info on the blog)

How, in Jeff's opinion, did bullerman get the first video? What about Steve? His response might be telling as to which side he is really on. Steve is under the radar right now, but he may resurface. (Do we already know this? I don't have it it my word doc but I may have missed it.)

Does Jeff have any proof besides broken memory that Steve was a friend of his before this happened? Any pictures of them going out or hanging out at work? Does he have proof that he even knew Steve before he got sick?

I know these questions don't relate to the codes or images per se, but I love back story. You can't know where you're going until you know where you've been. I can always email Jeff, but for the sake of solidarity, I thought I'd post here first. If no one thinks it's a problem, I wouldn't mind emailing him. BUT, if anyone thinks it's best someone else does it, feel free.

I will await some response before I go.

(PS: Do we have any pictures of Steve's face from the special camera? I don't think I have ever seen him in any of the videos. Is he a demon/vampire/scary gray monster? Is bullerman? Is that why SNI/JB are so interested in him? Was this an accidental "turn" and now they want to know how he did it and that's why they want him alive for now? Ignore my blue sky-ing if I seem way too off base.)

Tokkii, go for it. You could almost send your questions word for word -- or you could just cut & paste it into an email saying that you brought these questions up to your group.

These are excellent questions! They help us keep on the right track so that we either 1) have more rabbits to chase, or 2) chase the right rabbit.

We see Steve's face in what I think was the third video. He gives Jeff an envelope that contains the first pill. The video is gone now, but I don't remember anything unusual with his face.

Ahh, thanks Faery. I knew that OG blog got canned before I got to look at anything on it.

Good luck with your email tokkii... he's not responding to my last one yet... hope everything is ok... I've asked him some of the questions you've posted though... should we designate a person to send emails.... we don't want to bombard jeff with 1000 different emails from team members... just thoughts.. anybody else?

I did go ahead and email him this time. I will cut off communication after this, if anyone feels it's best for the overall story. I do not, at any time, intend to try and get ahold of him by AIM. I am not sure I could "play" over AIM. Probably, but I'll leave that for the advanced students. Besides if that thing came out and started talking to me, I don't care that it's a game. I would be scared out of my mind.

One thing I did do (pointing to Natas) was stress a few times that if he didn't feel up to answering my questions (he's still a sick man) it was fine and just to ignore me and trash the email. I hope that it was a big enough subtle hint that if he didn't want to start communicating with any others that no response was fine or to answer questions to other people. I was a little late in this one, but man that gray face has been haunting me. I can't seem to get this one out of my head. "Jeff" (not demon Jeff hehe) is also pretty easy on the eyes. At least in my opinion. Wink

Also I went back and redid some of the questions. I read back over some chat logs and realized I had a few small details off. If anyone cares I can post up the email, or I'll just wait for a possible reply then post that. I'm know I'm a relative newbie so if anyone wants to check my work, let me know. Smile

Hmm...I read through all the information I could find. I think I have the jist of this, but I was wondering if anyone could maybe give me a short summery of the important events that have happened so far?

I'd really appreciate it.

Wetpaint (www.wetpaint.com) can be useful for setting up a wiki and timeline.

Sounds good, I will anxiously await any news. It seems hard to jump into an ongoing ARG and get a good and fleshed out update. It also seems hard to find one right at its beginning. =(

Wiki Timeline

Still working... I am writing the timeline just fine but have no idea of the finer points of wetpaint wikis,, any help is very much welcomed.. i need a handholder... BTW I am only on 12-5 of the timeline... trying to hurry..

Quick question: Should I mention UF on the timeline? is that appropriate. should I mention specific UF members? such as giving credit for finding certain things/deciphering whatnot?

Mentioning unfiction and members is fine but remember to make it privately viewed so the PM can't see, also we can do discussion there.

I don't know THAT much about wetpaint myself but I could help I guess.
IM me on AIM Nate or PM me on 48.
