[spec]

Also, I think "Some Thing Has Found Us" might be the tagline... it was used in the commercial and was also on the Widget.

I, however, don't think that it has anything to do with little green men or anything, but feel that it is significant to something... just don't know what yet.

I have to agree with that there would be incident site 447 designate "Cloverfield". Then it is probably something to do with the military. Like the post where the military turns it off after watching it and the monster is then coming towards them.

That would be a great ending. The footage cuts off, and it pulls out to a regular camera shot of the military dudes. Some shocked silence and disgust as they ponder what they just saw, then EARTHQUAKE. Cue roar, cut to black screen.

If that isn't the ending JJ should order a reshoot

For some reason, I just like the Hand held POV style alot better than the cinematic style and I just don't see them cutting away from it in any way. I mean, this movie is going to be known for 4 things:

1] The Monster
2] The viral effect/promotional creativity
3] The Hand Held POV
4] J.J. Abrams

Just for like a one minute shot that would be sick. The whole movie its in POV. Then cuts out to the military talking about the monster and the RAWWWWRRRRRRRR! Just sick ending!

Well we know the movie begins with someone probably soldiers who find the camera and watch it so I would imagine at the end they cut back to them and I highly doubt they'll use the shaky cam for that too. And what about Matt Reeves and Drew Goddard I think the movie should reflect on the writer and director than the producer, of course JJ gets the most light cuz everybody knows him but for the movie to be good it's needs a good director and writer

Anteros, the only of the above articles that actually prove it's an alien are the two that happen to be based on the same source(?), who is not even named.

No, you have no hard facts.

You're absolutely right, I have no hard facts.

But the originators of the Alien theory (owners of that Coney Island park) are also the ones who first said the story was a flashback, of someone finding a camera in a disaster area. This has proven to be true. It is also the origins of the $30m budget, as far as I know.

So why not? Tagruato suddenly and cold-heartedly sending a rocket into space?

Teddy telling us Tagruato has "found or made something?"

Did they find something in space and then use DSN on it?

IDK... what I do know is that I can't wait to watch this film and I have all my close friends in the same tizzy. Very Happy

Even with discounting the testimony of a couple of Coney Island pizza store employees, I still have to agree with you...Tag and the Slusho! Smilers! seem to be pretty footloose and fancyfree with the excess Slusho experimentation...A little league team, a senior citizens home and an animal shelter...

And don't get me started on the "notorious documentary footage
depicting an 84-year-old woman drinking twelve large Slusho! Beverages"...

Wasn't "Wreck" considered as one of the titles (and I don't buy the "it was always named Cloverfield" BS) That rumor definitely got me thinking about some kind of alien involvement...

Actually, it was "REC" as in RECord, as witnessed by yet another domain name registration in July by Paramount:

That reminds me of REC,
which is a movie from Spain.
http://www.upcominghorrormovies.com/movies/rec.php

Surprisingly, its filmed in the same point of view as this film.
The only thing its shot by a "professional" news camera man.
Or at least that's the character.

The trailer is...interesting.
I think its about zombies.

I saw that when I went looking at domain names a month or two ago. The trailer was a bit intense. I had to stop and think about it for a moment when I first started watching just to make sure it wasn't related to Cloverfield.

I know what you mean.
At first I saw the teaser and I'm like "Cloverfield?"
Because it reminded me so much of it.
What's funny is now there are a lot of movies
coming out in the camera man pov.
George A. Romero is making a zombie movie
called Diary of the Dead, which is shot almost
in the same style.
But, I really want to see this REC. movie.
