[QUESTION]"...and this is what I dreamed."

"Everything died, and I died with it, but after a timeless time I began to dream, and this is what I dreamed."
That's the first line of what we're calling "The Widow's Story".

I haven't seen any speculation about the dreamer. Who might the dreamer be?

If the computer code messages are from the spider/Widow's perspective, and the Mayday text is the Queen's point of view, don't we then have a third entity in the hidden source code messages from a narrator/the dreamer?

(If this has already been discussed elsewhere, please direct me to it. Thanks. Smile )

EDIT: Topic. --AnthraX101

The prevalent theory right now is that The Widows Story is what SPDR did, but filtered through The Operators rather poetic mind.

Their are 2 things strange in the widows story. Why are the Windows items referred to as "tools". To me this seems very odd and suggesds these arent tools as in physical tools, but maybe hints at programmes the Ai is using?

The other thing is the Widow "mends" the Queen. This again is wierd as a living thing cannot be mended, it has to heal. Again it may suggest that the AI is fixing a programme or at least an inorganic item.

Alright, since my topic posting of this was ill-received, and perhaps less than clear, we'll try again with a little more explanation.

In Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, The Seventh Layer of Hell is guarded by the Minotaur, has hot sand, and happens to be the layer of violence.

The Widow is walking through hot sand, and slays a manticore. Bungie likes the number seven.

It's not an exact match by any means, but there might be something else there I've missed.

P.S. The hot sand is mentioned explicitly in the third group: Blasphemers, Usurers, and Sodomites

Minotaur is also the name of Bungie's third game. This is interesting.
