Wow, some of you people think you are really great as you have opened the isis. I have opened it but i would never talk to people the way some of you lot do. The worst I can see is ISIS983 who seems to think of themselves as 'god' of this forum!

If someone asks for help why not just say that the info is here somewhere. There is no need to be rude about it. Not everyone has time to go through all the posts on here, as many are pointless.

Some of you seem to act as if this is a chore for you and you would rather not post on here, so here is an idea, dont use it anymore if your gonna get upset about people asking for help.

For the love of god!!!!!!

I can see their point though. I would help someone if it seemed that they have tried. The anoying part is when people own the ISIS for a whole ten minute and start crying they want the answers.

People now days don't want to get off their butts and work it out theirselves. Some people may just have to except the fact that they will never be smart enough to solve this. Thats not being mean, its being real. I still havn't figured out a rubiks cube, and I can live with that Laughing

ISIS983 & CONRAD did made a good point once saying it would suck if someone that didn't deserve to be in the ISIS adventure because they couldn't out smart the ISIS won a prize later by luck.

I agree with the last couple post. If you want to cheat at opening the ISIS you don't deserve to be in the adventure. Own the puzzle sure, but not be in the adventure.

And it only takes some simpe Google attempts before you have the instruction to open the ISIS, and if you can't even find that turn off your computer. hehe

DtooP,

That hurt. I don't think myself as the ISIS forum gOD at all, far from it.

I would like to see a little more effort by other people trying to open the ISIS, thats all. You can tell by the questions that are asked how much a person has put into trying to solve the puzzle. I would love to give a person assistance in opening the ISIS if they could prove through intelligent question that they actually have tried and are actually stuck.

Can you disagree with me on that?

As far as the Adventure I keep "complaining" about. I don't think people understand how many thousands of dollars that are to be won with this game.

Reseting it and what not...

Ok, Well, Christmas is in 1...2...3...4...5! Days, As of right now, And I really think Im getting one, I ALLWAYS Remind them about it so they KNOW I really want it, but I Still have a few questions about it, if you dont mind, ISIS989 (I forgot the name)!

1. I have already asked if you can reset it, you said yes, but cna you do it YOURSELF??? Or do you have to send it back to the store/shop for THEM TO reset it? Once I open it, I would LOVE To just toy with it and stuff.

2. What are the bands and the 'Glyphs for? I know you turn them and stuff, and that they unlock inner workings, but What are the GLYPHS For themselves? Just for show or do they do something?

3. Does the ISIS 1 From SHARPER IMAGE Come in the nice wooden box that the UK Version of the ISIS Does? Or is it a different box?

Thank you.

OH, Also, I have been looking for a few GOOD Pictures of it for SIZE COMPARISON. I know how big it actually is, but Does anyone have a picture of themselves with like their thunbs on the bands? I want to see how much surface there is for you to grip.

Also I just want to see the sexyness of the spoken item... Cool

NOW Thank you!

Bas,

Its not broken, the ISIS is very durable. Unless you threw it off a cliff Laughing Give it a good smack on the side to get the bearings back moving.

isitwortht,

Answers:

1. You can reset it yourself a 1000 times. After 1001 though it explodes. Laughing

2. The importance of the glyphs you will have to find out for yourself. Wink

3. The Sharper Image ISIS has a plastic shiny/smooth black plastic box. Not a nice wood, but it is OK. The cardboard box the ISIS comes in I would also keep Wink Wink

4. The ISIS is about the size of a baseball. You don't need much grip because it takes more your brain then your brawn to open.

 A Question of Craftsmanship

I just got an Isis from Sharper Image and have a question concerning craftsmanship…

The center ring turns very easily while the upper and lower rings take considerable force. So much so that after 30 minutes or so of fiddling, my hands are quite sore.

Do the rings on your Isis's all turn with relatively the same ease?

Also, at the top of the stationary band just below the first movable ring (assuming the button to be the top), there is a slight outward dimple that appears to be a manufacturing mistake (as if it had been poked from the inside while the metal was hot).

Should I attempt to exchange my Isis for a new one? (Can I?)

The puzzle is made of Aluminium so it may have got a dent during production or trasport, but that would only effect the look not the function of the puzzle.

The rings should turn with the same amount of ease. Sounds like the width of the top and bottom rings were not machined correctly and are rubbing.

If you have not registered the ISIS yet then I would see about returning it. Not because it will not open, the puzzle is still ok, just something like that would bug me too. If you have registered it its too late to return it, you may have to contact infoSPLATsonicwarp.com for help.

Also,
Happy Holidays to all

Got it open...
Poop

I got my isis open today, but there's no key inside. Once I got the 3rd ball to release it was horribly easy to open, in fact it only took me about 10 seconds... Did I overlook something?

If its open you did it right. Very Happy Congrats.

There are different versions of the ISIS some you can open faster than others. But they all open using the same methods.

Contac InfoSPLATsonicwarp.com with all of your information, and ISIS numbers inside & out and they will mail you a key.
