I think they should rename it gastroexititis, because that's what everything does from your gastro-intestinal tract.
I can't imagine having it for weeks, it's bad enough when you have it for a couple of days. Shocked

I do a little bit of this and a little bit of that and some other things that, if stated, could get me banned with all their explicitness. ;P

I'm a single female geek, working in IT for a government agency. Live in New Jersey, which, no matter what others say, is a pretty good place to live. I run, dance, sing, I study the Bible (but I'm NOT f(*&ing religious!!!) and am an amateur chef. I teach cooking classes at my house once a month. I have two lovely daughters, one of which is single Wink (she's 21, fellas!). Started early with the kiddies - was a pre-veterinary major in college, then turned to foreign languages, so I speak a few - Russian *my actual major), French, Spanish (the language of my abuelita & Dad), a little bit each of Japanese and Chinese (but not enough to translate). I love traveling, and plan to do more the coming year (this year I spent supporting 4 doctors - WTF?!). One of my goals is to run at least a race (preferably a marathon or 1/2 marathon) in almost every state - so far, I've run in NJ, CA, NY, PA, OH, & AZ, so I have a ways to go.

I also love movies - monster movies being at the top of the list, am a BIG DDR fan, but with everything that I do, I mainly visit this site when I'm at work, while processes and apps run (most times VERY slowly). I introduced my 13 year-old nephew to the wonderful world of Kaiju, and between us, we have all of the Godzilla movies - even the awful, awful ones (because even when they were young, my girls were just not geeks!) - I have the ones in Japanese with subtitles, because I HATE dubbed foreign films!

EDIT - This year I went to my first GA concerts (Lily Allen, James Morrison) - they were GREAT! We were in the second row each time! And Flight of the Conchords ROCK!! I love them!

StarshipTrooper - That Alien costume kicks ASS! Love the pic with the beer - I cracked in half!

Martha - I feel you with the GI stuff - hope you feel better quickly.

I too, was a band geek, then, a band PARENT! Eh, it was fun, who am I kidding?

Euchre - congrats on hitting over 1000 posts!

29/m/AL.

Project Manager in Investment Recovery for a Telecomm giant. I come on here since we were recently taken over in a merger and work is extremely slow. Havent had a project in 1.5 months and only about 1-2 at a time most of the year when I usually ran 5-10 at a time the previous two years. Needless to say I have a lot of free time on my hands at work. They keep paying me though.

I too did not like Napoleon Dynamite, could not actually finish the movie.
Love going out and drinkin it up at bars and was a bartender thorugh college and grad school.

I satisfy my inner dork by playing WoW.

Joined unfiction solely for this and ahve been here and read almost everything since the beginning but just don't post alot.

When I first saw Napoleon Dynamite, I was creeped out by it. Then it grew on me. I thought that no one really lives like that. Then I went to Idaho. Everything became abundantly clear.

Could NOT, however, get through the first 15 minutes of Nacho Libre. My friends swore by it, but I couldn't with it.

Firefly (and Serenity), however, I love. That gorram Mal is hot!

Hey all. I'm 34, married, and an IT application analyst. I live in Oklahoma, and I am a major scifi geek as well as a musician (bass player). Yes, I geeked out a bit on the original poster's costuming skills...very nice!

More to the point of UnFiction, I was one of the original folks who followed The Beast, so I've been following ARGs since they were born. Most recently I participated in WorldWithoutOil, a collective fiction experience where we blogged in character during a simulated oil crisis. I love collective storytelling and other alternative ways of presenting a story. I just recently got an UnFiction account, but I'm a long time lurker.

Oh, and I am a monster movie fan from childhood. I've seen just about every Godzilla movie made, including the newest ones, as well as every version of King Kong. I even helped create a new Usenet group for a while (alt.fan.godzilla) to help contain some of the mass posting when the American movie came out.

In my spare time I enjoy performing scientific experiments with mysterious sea substances upon various creatures, my friends tell me that I'm gonna end up making a mistake one day but, hah, what do they know?

Hi Guys and Gals, my name is Eric and I too am an ubergeek...

I am currently obsessed with all things ARG, although I mostly lurk on em, including Cloverfield.

I work as the Manager of the Business Development Center for one of the largest Ford dealerships in Texas.

Now to list my geek pedigree

I play WoW, DM D&D3.5, Write Music, Sing, Write Poetry, Paint, Draw, Collect Video Games & their systems, Remix songs, Play Guitar, Play piano, Play Drums, Play Bass, Collect Magic the Gathering Cards, Collect Yugi-oh Cards, Collect Pokemon Cards, Collect Anime Series and Paraphanelia (Naruto and Slayers being two of my current Faves), Have every episode of Enterprise and Heroes on perma save on my DVR, Build Computers, Have a Tattoo of a Moogle on my chest and a Chocobo on my upper arm... Is that enough? I can keep going lol

Everyone has an inner geek. Find yours, and let it out!

Thank you all for the comments on the Alien. That thing took three months and unknown amounts of money to get together. The whole suit had to be painted with a mixture of latex and acrylic paint. Do you have any idea how much studio quality liquid latex goes for? Geez!

The Stormtrooper armor came in a kit, like a model. You just put it all together, and put it on.

My Starship Trooper stuff is my favorite, though. It's cool to hold something in your hand that you can look at a movie and say "That's this thing, right here!"
The jumpball suit is Ricos, worn by Van Dien, and the Uniform is General Owen's (The guy that screems "We're all gonna die!), and the helmet is the camera man's that gets speared in the Kledathu invasion. The armor is just a background set, don't know who's it is.

My girlfriend also has Dizzy's jumpball uniform, and Captain Deladier's dress uniform.
