[SOLVED - PUZZLE] Dreadhouse Numbers

I havn't seen anything about this yet, and I'm not sure if means anything but here it goes...

Upon looking at the source of the picture pages (the "Sorry" Message windows you get from clicking of the pci proof links), I found some numbers listed under each of them.

They are as following, and listed in the order they appear on the source -

Pic 1 - 1, 36, 18, 8, 23, 6, 117, 54, 55, 56, 68, 21, 32, 13, 16, 84

Pic 2 - 69, 73, 23, 27, 26, 10, 12, 51, 45, 22, 35, 106

Pic 3 - 118, 50, 6, 104, 16, 64, 47, 25, 66, 32, 84, 108

Pic 4 - 24, 80, 122, 35, 8, 30, 82, 42, 13, 46, 23, 73

There were no number listed under any of the other pages, including the "sorry" message pages from the document proof links.

I don't know what they mean, but I'm looking over them for some type of pattern.

i noticed something in viewing the source, and that's that the line breaks are different for each set of numbers. this probably shouldn't be ignored. so for example, in picture1, it doesn't just say "1, 36, 18, 8, 23, 6, 117, 54, 55, 56, 68, 21, 32, 13, 16, 84" for the numbers. it says:

1, 36, 18, 8, 23
6, 117, 54, 55, 56, 68
21, 32, 13, 16, 84

I added the spaces in myself to make all the numbers line up with each other and form sort of a table, but there's still no obvious answer. here's a list of the different number table formation things:

PIC 1-
1, 36, 18, 8, 23
6, 117, 54, 55, 56, 68
21, 32, 13, 16, 84

PIC 2-
69, 73, 23
27, 26
10, 12, 51, 45, 22, 35, 106

PIC 3-
118, 50, 6, 104, 16
65, 47, 25
66, 32, 84, 108

PIC 4-
24, 80, 122, 35, 8
30, 82, 42
13, 46, 23, 73

SOLVED - Dreadhouse numbers

Solved!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The hidden numbers correspond to characters in the text on these pages: "Sorry these pages have been temporarily removed due to harassment and threats by the people behind the Dread House show. All contents © 2004 www.dreadhouse.com." Strip the spaces and punctuation, number the letters from 1 to 131, and look up each number. The breaks in the lines correspond to spaces between words.

Picture 1 -

1, 36, 18, 8, 23
6, 117, 54, 55, 56, 68
21, 32, 13, 16, 84

yields "seven twenty eight"

Picture 2 -

69, 73, 23
27, 26
10, 12, 51, 45, 22, 35, 106

yields "ten pm eastern"

Picture 3 -

118, 50, 6, 104, 16
65, 47, 25
66, 32, 84, 108

yields "watch the site"

Picture 4 -

24, 80, 122, 35, 8
30, 82, 42
13, 46, 23, 73

yields "there and gone"

So -

"seven twenty eight \ ten pm eastern \ watch the site \ there and gone"

Thanks slackertodd and goferchan for catching the #s...

heri Smile

So does this mean...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
that we should look in www.dreadhouse.com/728/ at 10pm EDT tonight for the missing files?

Or has this already been discussed elsewhere?

See you on Wednesday

Great job!!!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Wed, July 28th, 10pm Eastern = 7p Pacific

Sorry, you guys outside continental US will have to use the world clock to figure out your own time frame.

I hope someone will be able to make copies of the pictures for those of us who have prior obligations to attend.
Thank you in advance.

[Edited to add: I distinctly remember checking the source codes of these pages (old ARG habit) and those numbers were not there the first night this site was found.]

I use this site for time conversion http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc

If i understand well, the time 10.00 pm (Eastern or EDP?) is equal to 4.00 AM in Europe/Rome?

Thanks

I think it's 7 am actually (for Europe Rome and Belgium). But then again I can be mistaken aswell Smile

EDIT: and I was, 4AM seems right after all. Way to early for this bird so I'm hoping someone will get those pictures and documents off the site and mirror it or post it here? Pretty please with sugar on top?

Awesome job people... and if we'd missed this, how long would we have had to wait for them to pop up again?

I've gotta ask... was one of you tipped off about this by an email, etc.?

Looking at the source of pages seems to be old habit. I find myself doing it on any page found. Sometimes I catch myself doing it to OOG pages, just to be sure.

You know you have a problem however when you search for something in google, don't find it, and check the page source just in case.

I wasn't really tipped off, bu tI read vpisteve's reply he had gotten from JC and it something along the lines "Keep your eyes open" or something (I'd have to check the email for the exact terms).

So I just figured we were probably weren't looking hard enough somewhere.

That and the old "always check the source" proverb of ARGing.

Dreadhouse Pictures

Did anyone get to see the pictures and/or documents from dreadhouse.com on 7/28? If so, where can I get a copy of them? Thanks.

Sure did, Runge. Right here: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5047&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15

Theoretically, most of that thread should really be in the Puzzle section. Mods?
