I don't think they'll intentionally show the monster either. They were really emphasising on us being surprised. I don't wanna see the monster before the movie either.

Looking at the whale type monster though, I don't get that it would 'attack' anything. Whatever the monster is, it HAS to be more or less 'evil'. Gotta be some motivation there to unleash destruction. I don't know of any real animals that deliberately go around attacking things. Just my dogs

I love the Whale art, wish it were in a movie, but yea, looking at the trailer i think it's going to be something more normal (at least from the waist down). I think it's also going to be different from other monsters in movies, certainly faster moving / more agile than anything depicted to date, but will still have a lot of similar attributes to most giant monsters.
