[WEEKLY EVENT] Messages from the Cheyenne Government Mondays at 6pm MST in Jericholand = Saturdays 8pm EST/~8pm PST and who knows when else Just starting this thread for the upcoming broadcasts from the Cheyenne Government as mentioned on sakanasherald (see here ) and seen on UnderGroundOnline (first posted here ).
As previously posted, 13 MHz is on the HF bandwidth. We don't yet know which Node(s) will transmit these messages.
Should we be prepared to record it in case it's a one time transmission?
Attached, for the archives, is an image of the flyer.
edited: to strike out the mistaken time change.
edit again: to change subject description from (strike) = Fridays 8pm EST for us(/strike) to "= Saturdays 8pm EST for us". But I think it may be best to check the date on J&R to be sure of the current JerichoLand date just in case it changes again.
edit again: to change tag of [NEW] to [WEEKLY LIVE EVENT].
so many edits: removed "LIVE" from the tag, and changed description to reflect that the broadcasts are time-zone controlled.

Assuming the Cheyenne Government is broadcasting from Cheyenne, then Node 3 is the closest. Node 6 is farthest away and most likely not to pick it up.
Again, that is assuming Cheyenne is where the message is broadcast.

I'm a little confused. Why were we expecting this today instead of Monday?
I've been going back and looking at the game info, trying to figure out the rules for the game. I found a few references to various past dates but didn't find where we are supposed to be playing this in the past.
I haven't been following this ARG very long so please forgive the question.

According to the dates used on both the Sakanas Herald and on J&R sites, it is currently April 30th, 2007, which, if one checks a calendar, was a Monday.
Immersing oneself into an "alternate reality", would include adapting to it's time frame. That's why some of us thought that the Cheyenne Government broadcast would happen tonight.
Oh, well...

Ah. Thank you. That makes sense. I didn't notice the changing dates on those pages. How silly, I did notice that the stock price changed.

isn't it possible that we were not supposed to see tis image yet? it didn't show up on the sarkanas site yet, so maybe the broadcasts will not start until the sarkanas site puts the picture up, then we will go for the next Friday(Monday)?

Heh. Oh, I wish I had taken a screen shot of the J&R page at about 3am EST (yeah, I was still up... ) when I saw the date had changed to May 1, 2007.
So maybe this is :

We'll find out sooner or later.

I was on node 3 playing around and noticed that the HF setting now has closer control, as in 13mhz, 13.1, 13.2...I never had the before...something has been updated.

Message one for the Cheyenne Goverment Amber Green spokeswoman This primary broadcast from the Cheyenne Government was the first of the audio messages on /deather that doesn't remain accessible for repeat listening , as all the other messages have done so far. Once the node is closed or muted, it's lost. I didn't have a way of recording it, but I did leave Node 1 running in a loop last night, long enough to get a partial transcript. Words that I'm unsure of are italicized.
Quote:
(long solid tone, then four network chimes) (Very pleasant female voice) Hello citizens west of the blue line. My name is Amber Green and I'm your spokeswoman for the US Government in Cheyenne.
We want to assure citizens that we are working hard to restore basic services to help get America back on her feet. You can help too! Listen here each week while we set a simple agenda to help communities begin the long road back to normal.
Many in the listening area are farms or cuttle/cattle/kolkhoz land. Farmers: while you've been preparing for a growing season under some confusion for some potentials for harvest, we recommend two things to start you thinking.
One is fallout. Check to see how much fallout may be contaminating your land. Use existing Civil Defense Geiger counters and consult with valuable local resources like NOAA and NAA standards.
Two is local need. With much of the highway system closed to regular traffic due to lack of refueling sources, farms must, temporarily diversify; become local suppliers almost exclusively. Ceilings must be raised to the great variety of fruit, vegetables, legumes, and grains. Dry storage must be adapted to smaller stock types. Work with local alderman and law enforcement to decide on a lot/what lot/a lock/what your potential yields.
Tune in next week and we will continue our broadcasts from the Cheyenne Government.
Amber Green.... could there be any relation to the Green family from Jericho?
I also noticed that the BHRC/dearther page has been made more secure. We can't access the nodes as separate htmls, like this http://www.blackhillsradiocontrol.org/node1.html anymore.
Sorry it took so long getting this posted... holiday preparations took priority. On that note... Season's Greetings to everyone!

now this has to be a coincidence:
http://soswy.state.wy.us/authenti/DOCUMENT.HTM
Look at who the contact person is on this page, the site is the Wyoming Secretary of State in Cheyenne....ok, back to hunting down real info.

For absolute clarification- yes- pure coincidence. No ARG will ever be able to use a state.xx.us URL. Much like we'll never see an ARG use a .edu address. Crazy, none the less.

The nodes are not really transmitters. The nodes are points of reception.
