listening to that, it sounds like someone gets up close and personal with MGP
picture a huge open mouth, twice the size of an adult male, roaring in your face...wishing it had a breath mint...
i can't think of the movie, but its an almost iconic monster-human meeting...

Is it just me or does that last roar (after the announcer says "Cloverfield") sound a lot different than usual?
And I'm sure Roma Torre says "something violent is rocking the city".

While I know the monster isn't Godzilla, a couple of those roars sure sounded similar to Big-G.

did anyone notice that the pitch is too low?
its a flash error. if an mp3 is encoded a certain way, flash will change the pitch.

Interesting that The Enchanted One is attributing some lines in the transcript to people we have no evidence spoke anything for the trailer (Matt Reeves) and that we actually know didn't speak the line (Hud "oh my God!").
Well, anyway...
Here we go cache ripping!

While blasting my speakers, I have to say that radio ad got me more hyped for this movie then any of the trailers. Got the chills while listening, Cant wait.

Actually, your wrong about one thing Euchre.
There was a Matt Reeves interview where he stated that during the production of the trailer, he jumped on a microphone and shouted the imfamous line to help give people a sense that its a Monster movie.
*EDIT*
Here it is: http://www.slashfilm.com/2007/12/14/cloverfield-director-speaks/

"At the last minute, when we were shooting the trailer, we wanted people to know - 'cause we hadn't created the monster yet - that it was a giant monster movie, we wanted a tease of that. I jumped to the microphone and said the line, "I saw it! It's alive! It's huge!"

Well thank you for attributing that so we've got some basis for it. I also find it interesting that he states that it's supposed to have made it clear that it's a monster movie about a living thing - something many of us understood but others tried to use to declare that the 'monster' could be mechanical or even the SoL. In that same paragraph it's pointed out that the monster didn't really exist when the teaser was made - so it can't be in the teaser in the smoke or anywhere else.
I look forward to tinkering with the audio from these ads in a bit.
