 [META]Cloverfield and pop-culture

I made a team on Madden called the Cloverfield Monsters. Their uniform is all dark yellow and the mascot is an octopus. We're unstoppable. Shocked What does that mean for society in the movie?

edit to add tag and clarify subject ~rose

I'm not sure but maybe this needs a [OT][GAME] or something tag - and addition of "Console Gaming" in the subject - I presume you want to announce your team name and not talk about the movie. Wink Cause there are plenty of already existing threads to talk about your movie theory. Brownie

Im definatley starting to think this is gonna be pretty big. When i went to see I Am Legend last week, the first preview shown was for Cloverfield. When the screen with Incident number , etc came on , about 25% of the theater cheered. , and this was before all the commercials started on TV. The theater was almost completely filled too, and this is a theater in the tourist section of Orlando. Those theaters are monsterous. If that many people know whats up, just from following things on the internet, then im sure now that the commercial campaign has kicked into high gear. It seems like alot of people, at least around here, are pumped for this

Downtown Disney AMC Pleasure Island 24 or Universal Citywalk AMC Universal Cineplex 20?
I'm betting on the former.

None of the above. It was at Festival Bay Mall on International Drive and Oakridge Road.

it's ashame that Universal didn't back this movie up, because I'm sure it would make a HELL of a ride.

Last yr i had year round passes for Universal and Islands of Adventure. I used to get cheap ass tickets to the Universal Cineplex, the theater on Universal property that Euchre referred to . That theater is so massive, and they sell alchohol there, it kicks ass

Never went to those theaters.
Orlando is positively saturated with screens.
I almost wish I was down there for this premiere, it should be fairly easy to find a really good location where you could get some decent seating.
BTW if you haven't been there, cruise down I-Drive past Sand Lake to Cafe Tutu Tango. It's a really cool place.

Ive lived here since 81, been out of school since 92, there aint one of the million places here that i havent been to. , and youre so right about theater saturation. We have like 12 malls around Orlando now, plus four or five other stand alone theaters. They just built these bad ass brand new ones at Fashion Square. I always have a tough choice on where to go, cause each theater has there own unique quality about them
