 Clarification

ISIS983 wrote:
The puzzle is made of Aluminium so it may have got a dent during production or trasport, but that would only effect the look not the function of the puzzle.

The rings should turn with the same amount of ease. Sounds like the width of the top and bottom rings were not machined correctly and are rubbing.

If you have not registered the ISIS yet then I would see about returning it. Not because it will not open, the puzzle is still ok, just something like that would bug me too. If you have registered it its too late to return it, you may have to contact infoSPLATsonicwarp.com for help.

Also,
Happy Holidays to all

Thanks for the info, but just to clarify: I don't have a dent, it's more like a pimple (outward vs. inward).

 Any hints

So check it, I can hear what seems to be two small ball bearings rotating when I have the plunger facing upwards. when I flip it over and face the plunger down I can wiggle it a little and I hear, what I think is, a third slightly larger ball. I can tell there's a crescent shape direction of travel and when I reach one end there's a metallic click. I've decrypted all the "clues" and I've read almost every page in this forum - I've looked at the x-ray, but I've yet to start banging my Isis on anything. I guess I'm having a broblem with two main areas - according to everyone else's entries.

1. My "placentas" are still in line with eachother and have not moved a cm apart.

2. I cannot seem to balance or rotate my Isis so that the plunger only slides half way in. I've actually pressed it in so many times in the last three days that it started squeaking and I think I need some WD-40 to lube it or something.

Please give me a clue to move forward...

So i think i can say my 3bb is lose.

But i just cant seem to get the plundger "in the right position".
I tried rotating it and everything but it is just not working...

Maybe mine is faulty or something..?

Guest,
Read the clues again, its not the placentas that need to be upwards.

Neil29902,
Without giving too much away, what have you done so far?

help ME!! i cant release the third bb, even if i have when i depress the plunger it goes all the way, but i dont think ive released it. should the placentas be on top and the plunger facing away from me? and what is this talk about the placentas being 1cm apart or 180 degrees apart. this is not in the clues. what steps do i need to have done to get the placentas 180 apart? should they be apart b4 i release the 3rd bb? thanks

Any help? Please.

Ok Isis983 here is what I have done (very general.) I have used clue 11 A LOT!!!! and it sounds like there are
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
3 ball bearings
but I am having trouble with pushing the plunger down (I know you will just say use oil or WD-40 I have read EVERY page!!! (but still no help...)) and turning the placentas any. Like I asked do hieroglyphic dials have ANYTHING to do with opening it. Also my ISIS is from U.S. Sharper Image if it matters.
If you would rather e-mail me than post here you can reach me at neil29902 at yahoo.com.

Got it - my thumbs are a little raw from pushing that button so much but it was worth it. Thanks everyone! Razz

It's too bad there arent any pyramids to find in Iraq Sad - hopefully they'll send me my key here too.

neil29902,

Are you having trouble with the plunger on every push? If you push the plunger down at an angle and not straight up and down it will seem a little tough. If you are having trouble pushing it down you might be at the half way stage.

The clues for opening the ISIS give you a start to finish on how to open it. When you are working with the ISIS you need to follow the clues. Sometimes without knowing when you are almost to the halfway point if you do something wrong you will reset the ISIS and have to start over.

Think of the clues like a game of "Simon Says" If Simon tells you to do something "pwardsuay" that doesn't mean to stop doing it once its done. Wink
