Our "Zilla" sucks major balls. It sucks so hard that in ToHo's most recent Godzilla movie "Final Wars," they make our lame ass lizard fight the O.G. and here's how long it lasted:

Any monster that runs from the military is no monster at all.

Yes, yes it is. or was. The movie in 1998 was named Godzilla, not "A girl monster somewhat similar to Godzilla that we're calling Zilla". The creators licensed Godzilla for thier creation, in all the merchandise and promotions the monster was called Godzilla. The monster in the 1998 Godzilla movie IS Godzilla. Is he different than the one in Toho's movies? Yes, vastly. But it is Godzilla. The same way every version of King Kong is King Kong, even though the effects and technology (and planes, and buildings he stands on) change from version to version. Or Dracula, or Frankenstien. Or any other proper name Monster that has been done by more than one studio.

It was only after Toho decided they were embarrassed by the movie that they changed the name in thier own movie continuity (which the 1998 Movie wasn't in, anyway) for the sole purpose of putting him in thier latest film for 13 seconds to bury him like the Undertaker vs Funaki in a casket match.

The American Godzilla IS Godzilla. the Toho monster that appeared for 13 seconds in one movie just to flip the bird at America is Zilla.

And no-one is going to make a 're-make' or 're-imagining' about a bit character that was included in a single film as a quick visual joke and FU to the new movies audience.. 90% or more of whom had never heard of it.
