I had a funny experience with the Slusho store:
I ordered a hoodie from the Slusho store the day after the torn memo started showing up. Anyways while filling out the shipping address I entered the first digit of my street address and auto complete filled in the rest. Not realizing that my wife had entered our address incorrectly months ago, so instead of 28869 I had entered 22869.
This previous Monday I got this message from the Slusho store:
Slusho! is trying to ship your order but USPS is not recognizing the address we have. Please verify shipping address or provide alternate address so Slusho! may ship your order. Thanks for your patience and thanks for shopping Slusho!
I glanced at the incorrect address and instead of noticing the street number was wrong, I thought maybe it was 9 digit Zip. I replied with the full zip and the next day got this:
So sorry but USPS is still not acknowledging this address, is there an apt. # or PO box?
That's when I noticed the street number was incorrect, I replied with the correct address, then received this reply:
Your killin' me Mark.
My response:
Sorry man its the SLUSHO. It makes me happy. A little too happy if you know what I'm saying.
Now I eagerly await my hoodie, hopefully with a torn memo.
Finally got my hoodie order.....no memo. Not only was there no memo the XLrg that I ordered shipped as a small. At first I was upset, but then I looked over and told my 14 year old daughter that we would be going to the midnight showing as twins. I know ordered my xlrg again and hope my 2nd order has a oiece of movie history. ANd if not maybe i can get someone a hat........

Second shirt showed up today - same invoice (so someone did a duplicate somewhere in their system).
This box had NO memo.

Kona, you've ordered twice since the memo discovery? and you're 1st included memo? I hope so i like those odds. When I ordered my 2nd hoodie today i added the following comment:
My previous order came as a small instead of xlrg. Because Slusho! makes me soooo happy I will keep it, however maybe something extra could be included. Maybe a memo from a certain Japan based corporation.
Slusho! You can't buy just six!
We'll see what happens.....

I've received two deliveries from SLUSHO!...neither of which had any memos.
They did have the usual Japanese newspaper packing material though.

has anyone with a memo tried the old invisible ink trick.. eg. waving a lighter very quickly over the papers surface. previously invisible writing will surface.
the trick used lemon juice or something acidic as ink.. its quite a common technique.
p.s. dont set fire to paper or hold it too long and scorch it.

Well, it's not on regular paper. It is on that thin, glossy, foam-like paper.
EDIT: I edited this post because I have forgotten a space. The location was character 18, between the words "on" and "regular". Character 1 was also changed, from a Y to a W. Thank you for caring, for caring oh so much. This has been a public service announcement.

Can someone point me to a translation of the memo or if it hasn't been done already, is someone able to translate it?

So you may want to start at the beginning for the full effect...or here: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22329&start=285

The paper the memo is on reminds me of wall paper - it's not regular paper.
