The image isn't anything new, but the location sure is. Cloverfield advertising has gone underground. My friend Chris has e-mailed me with the above picture taken from the Spring Street subway station in SOHO Manhattan.

I wonder if Spring Street is the station Rob and his friends take to escape the monster? It's fairly close to Rob and HUD's apartment and where the SOL's head lands. I guess we'll see...

 		i think i saw this new commercial on a network that came from Atlanta yesterday? i was dozing on the couch then i heard that oh-so-familiar roar and i was like 'waitaminnit, i know that guy!"
yeah, the part that stood out to me was rob was talking to lil and hud i think and he's pointing to the map and saying "we can die in the streets, we can die in the park, or we can die in the tunnels" or something like that and then they are all like "we're in" and they head for the tunnels.
was my first cloverfield tv spot, superfun!

I've taken the Subway allot in the area and the one thing for certain is that this is a Mock-up, it's a set. Not a sinlge subway in Manhattan has concrete pillars like that. The set consultants most likely just wanted to make things more authentic by calling it Spring st. Which, for those who don't know is pretty much SoHo area. Why the hell they are there is anyones guess, it seems way out of the way.

Not to mention that it's just ludacris to believe that any of these people coupld possibley afford a place in Soho. LOL I just don't see any of them being able to afford $4+ million for a loft in that area.

 		If you can sit through the shit they play MTV is running Cloverfield spots every other break. I think I've seen at least half of them in a couple hours.

I mean Paramount.... Viacom... Stick to outlets that are related company-wise for more ads basically cause they cost them next to nothing to run.

Oh dont get me wrong, that image I posted of them in the SPRING st. subway station could be a set, cause Ive taken the subway alot and never have I seen a subway turnstyle look so fake and plastic like. But still even though it is a mock set, I still i dont think that it had anything to do with the set consultants just wanting to make things more authentic by calling it "Spring st" like u said...its where they were located at that time during the attack...cause if you look at the trailer again, u can see a scene of Marlena, Hud, Rob and Lily running down the subway stairs from street level, where in the background, theres ALOT of chaos and explosions going on behind them, so they had to escape down to the subway stairs. Just because they are in the Spring St. part of the subway, dosent mean they live there, they could have been running around the streets for a while and ended up by Spring st. and just went down that station

The horizon doesn't match on the roof, but it seems pretty certain that's just a continuity problem now.

 		I have a new commercial recorded with my DVR and right now I'm ripping the DVD to my computer and then uploading it to youtube.

I should have it up within the next 30 minutes. I'll post a new thread for it.

I saw the same poster inside the subway station but it wasnt at spring st. it was located in a Brooklyn station, so they have those posters throughout the subway system now im guessing.
