Aw, he lost his daughter... :'(

Maybe that has something to do with all the murders he has committed?

I like this, though--it makes him much more human.

/me goes back to the lurker cave.

Email exchange on my end:

Me: Your videos are beautiful. Does the red mean anything?

MR: Why thank you. Of course the red means something.

I am not good at this interaction stuff yet.[/quote]

I think he is trying to tell us where he is now. My first thought was Japan and i think i may be right. I googled the texts and most were taken from articles about japan.

first thing I noticed is that the guy in the video is Matthew Perry, the guy who opened (whether they wanted to or not) Japan to the foreign, western trade. He arrived (according to Wikipedia) at "Uraga Harbor near Edo (modern Tokyo) on July 8, 1853."

The bridge shown in the video is the rainbow bridge near Tokyo.

I'm fairly sure the city shown in also Tokyo.

Edit: It's Tokyo. I found the building in the picture, though I'm not sure what it is.

Edit2: I'm pretty sure those buildings are the Atago Green Hills Forest Tower (the one in the back left) and the Mori Tower (in the front left). Again, with our help from Wikipedia, it says that "Atago Green Hills is an urban complex, located in Atago, Minato-ku in central Tokyo between the Kamiyacho and Onarimon subway stations. Constructed by building tycoon Minoru Mori, the complex incorporates offices, residences, shops, gardens, temples and museum."

I wonder if he's there? He hasn't replied to my email yet, I think I've been blacklisted due to the mailing on Christmas incident (it was only 2:30 in the morning) so if someone wants to act on this, or see if we can't figure other things out first have at it. I'm looking into the coordinates and what museum it is.

That new video certainly has hints of the Orient about it.

The category and tags seem rather odd:
Quote:
Category: Howto & Style
Tags: arts crafts beauty dance drink finance fitness fashion food gardening health home music sports technology

Compared to the previous ones:
  • One Two Three Four - Category: Education
Tags: slusho silverladder wall-e torchwood cloverfield eldritch errors tom tooman deus city perplex
  • Take You Down - Category: Comedy
Tags: Same as previous one, with the addition of metacortechs trinstod
  • oƃ 1 2 3 - Category: Entertainment
Tags: Same as on Take You Down
  • Merry X-mas - Category: Film & Animation
Tags: Same as on Take You Down
  • Merry Christmas - Category: Entertainment
Tags: Same as on Take You Down
  • Did you lose something? - Category: Entertainment
Tags: Same as on Take You Down

I wonder if there's any significance to the utter change of theme for the tags, and the category (to a lesser extent)? I also wonder if there's any significance to the title of the video. "..." isn't terribly helpful!

And I wondered who that chappy was, so I'm glad someone knows Smile

So he's probably in Tokyo, unless the Tokyo references are meant to be anagrammed for another Japanese city, ie. Kyoto. But I'm thinking Tokyo is most likely.

I got an e-mail from the guy today with an attachment stating that "Red is Beautiful". The Japanese flag is instantly recognizable because of the red sun on it.

Ok finding more info: The two Atago Green Hills Towers (35°39'43.17"N, 139°44'55.06"E) can be seen easily from the Tokyo Tower itself (35°39'30.66"N, 139°44'43.05"E). Aside from the Rainbow Bridge (SE of the towers at 35°38'10.46"N, 139°45'49.82"E), I can't pinpoint any other places. We're not talking about a huge area, though.

Edit: Got a reply. Looks like he's watching us as much we are him.

Me: You seem to have quite the following. Have a nice flight, and happy holidays. And as they say, may your days be merry and white.
Him:

Edit2: All things seem to point to the Tokyo Tower. When it lights up at night, it turns a nice RED color.

I was going over the text in the video again. The one thing that didn't fit before was the lantern lane one.
I found out that there is a Flower Lantern Lane Festival in Arashiyama (Kyoto).
