It's really hard to tell with the smoke, it may just be bad CGI.
reminds me of people over analyzing the teaser and saying rob knew more. I was the only one who thought he was a bad actor and doesnt know how to act afraid. He was probably so embarrassed

There is going to be some bad acting in this that's for sure.
In the 5 minute widget clip and the trailer he screws up the whole "let go to the roof" bit pretty bad. Out of turn and flat.

OK, sorry for all the confusion earlier. I had to leave in a hurry, and I posted the wrong screenshots, and I didn't have time to post my videos....whew...
Anyways, here are Commercial #4 and #5, in Hi-Res:
Cloverfield Commercial #4 - We Are Not Alone
Cloverfield Commercial #5 - Some Thing Has Arrived
I have slo-motion videos for both of these if people are interested...

Does anyone have these commercials in a downloadable format (preferably MOV format)?

really nice job, with the screenshots too. They sure looks like a Tagruato tanker to me, it even has the logo. It's funny the way whoever did the CGI for it put a face in the smoke.
I would like to see #5 in slo-mo

whoa!
I think this is shot from the Brooklyn Bridge, or around that area.
Also, the trailer with the statue of liberty looks like it has just panned to the left after filming the flaming tanker from the same place.

Wow! Great Teap thanks!
This is a weird shot though...how would HUD get it?
To get a shot of the SOL and the tanker as close as that they would have had to go south from where they started and that's toward the monster?
Why would they do that?

That depends where the monster goes after they see it, They try to get off the island via the brooklyn bridge, so it makes some sort of sense if it's shot from there.
The tanker might be partly aground on Ellis Island, from what I can tell. Doesn't look like it's in Manhattan.

same reason they went to the roof, or the people taking pics of the SOL with their cells, curiosity
