[INFO] 2370 Market Street, San Francisco The WHOIS information for ILoveBees.com gives an address: 2370 Market Street, San Francisco. I live here, and made an excursion out to said location. Interestingly this address is located in San Francisco's gay area. Here is what I came up with:
2370 is actually at least three buildings in a plaza. To the left is a UPS, the center building is a dentist's office, and to the right is a defunct "Health Line Clinical laboratories", with a for lease sign in the window.
There was a gated alley to the right of the healthline building, but it was locked. A sign on the gate direct the patron to Warren & Associates, which seems to be an accounting firm.
My guess is the best course of action would be to call the company that leased the buildings and politely ask who owned #510 as of june. The leasing company is:
Swifter & Assoc.
1201 Howard street #101
Burlingame, CA
650-342-4314
Also, I conducted a brief bit of surveillance on an unknown white male, mid 20s, taking pictures of the location with his camera phone.

I called Swifter and Associates, and left a message on their voicemail. Let's hope their box dosen't get flooded like Dana's did.
BTW, here's a recording of their voicemail message for all who care.

Is it possible to take picture in the window to their office? For all we know there might be boxes stuffed with Halo 2 copies...

My friend and I both live close to the address posted on the site. Curious that theres a UPS store there because one sight recieved a bottle of honey with the letters i, l, o, v, e, b, e, e, s in the jar. 3 guesses what that spells... Anyway is it possible to go to the UPS hut and ask about the package?

And I'm sure he was taking pictures of YOU. Wait to see what forum those pics go up on.
Boy do we need new game content. One of you is gonna get arrested for harassing people in the same building as the UPS store.

Ha ha funny. But no, I haven't been snooping around that area with a cell phone camera. I figured there must be way to find out who sent that package. You know, track the REAL people down. Not the whole digital wild goose chase.

but...why? What's the point of knowing who actually sent the packages? In game terms, someone from Ilovebees.com sent them.
Do you ever hunt down the people who created Monopoly? It's better to just play the game and not dwell on the brains behind it.

Considering the logistics, liability, and plain old safety issues involved in actual face-to-face interaction between players and puppetmasters, rest assured, you'll know darn well when you've been invited to interact with anyone in the game beyond the web or phone ...
Please, people, if you're going to push the envelope at all, stay legal, and do realize that you are responsible for any consequences that may arise from your actions.

Wait, what the heck are you guys talking about. Who even said that the ilovebees thing WAS an internet detective game. And if it is, i didn't sign up for it! I'm just saying that it's possible the ilovebees site and countdown might have something to do with Halo 2 (as in release date, game info etc. as examples) What's illegal about going up to the UPS store and asking for some info? What's the worst they can do, say no? Whooooooooooo!

I think the fact that 3+ people who are known to run websites devoted to "internet detective games" either received honey or were sent honey seems to indicate that what is going on is right up their alley. And no one "signed up for this". It's not the way this is normally played. You play simply by finding the rabbithole and allowing yourself to become part of that universe for a little while, at the same time not worrying too much about who is pulling all the strings in the background.

Actually it's not Fox Plaza apartments. Fox Plaza is at 1390 Market St. Fox Plaza Apartments (http://www.foxplazaapts.com/). I live a few blocks away so I took a walk down there and 2370 Market is a group of three stores, one of which is a UPS store with mailbox service as pointed out above. I took a few pictures with my cell phone if any one is curious. Pictures of 2370 Market St.

Wait a minute. If you guys here got honey with letters as clues, why would they need to put the URL in the Halo trailors. Isn't that pretty cruel to Halo fans who want info on the game?

Only a small portion of people (mainly folks involved in Cloudmakers) got the honey. For the rest of us, the URL signaled the start of the ARG. The whole point is to make you think and investigate and ponder.

My thought on this matter is that while this is an ARG, it ever so slightly touches on the Halo universe. The honey and the trailer both came out at the same time, but it was quite a bit easier to find the rabbithole with the honey than trying to see a split second change on the trailer. I like to think that the PM's wanted the ARG people in on this to a: have some fun (esp if this is Beast II) and b: help the halo ppl who wouldnt necessarily know how to play this type of game (tho I have no proof of this being the case).
I don't think this is cruel to Halo fans at all. You're getting to see and be a part of a story that crosses paths with the story you already know. I don't know how many people read Stephen King, but if you do, you can think of it like this. If you think of Halo & Halo 2 being The Dark Tower series, you could think of this ARG as being like "Insomia", "Eyes of the Dragon", "The Stand" or "Black House." The worlds touch, and sometimes even cross, but yet each story is distinct in its own way.
