Chuai's numbers would probably be in the 40's-60's or so. Not even close to the hundreds.
Who said it has to be Chuai?

No one, it was assumed and is being discussed.

Data outside the sonar image So Key info I see:
Looks to be a computer program given the standard windows controls on the top right.
Top left says the program name: Tagruato Sonar Bld. 18 Rev 1a
-Bld = Build number
There are 5 tabs to the program:
1. JP characters need translation
2. JP characters need translation
3. STAT
4. VIEWER (The one we see in the picture)
5. JP characters need translation
Right hand side near the top has 5 controls:
1. Zoom in
2. Zoom out
3. Pan?
4. Set the scale?
5. A Target
Bottom Right has two bars that need translating and the build info again repeated
We have the (IMO) biggest clue X:243.125 Y.22.352 Bottom right
Bottom Right we have what looks to be the date 12.18.2007 and PNG next to a red circle
Below that a red loading bar(?) that says Occ. Scale. ERA. 1.63
- could read the number wrong

Okay this is technical as crap but this claim for a patent does a good job of describing what's going on here I think.

Pay particular attention to the apparatus mentioned in #5.

That made my head hurt, but did it say the X-Y could be converted to Coordinates?

The image appears to be using Doppler shifts in its sonar - and it could almost be a satellite image, but I'm leaning towards what a friend of mine said when he saw it (and he has no idea what Cloverfield is...): it looks like a fish finder radar.
Something else I haven't seen anyone mention - there's a boat/station image over on the left hand side. Sonar images are (usually?) taken from directly above - as with a buoy. I wonder if that little graphic doesn't represent Chuai? That seems to be the WB's main concern at the moment, no reason to think he'd wander away from that.

Maybe that is the Tagruato tanker heading towards NYC?

That's what I was thinking when I first saw it.

Interesting.
If that boat does in fact represent Chuai, then the size of this thing may be massive.
If it is the creature or not....

Yeah the fish finder fits. This is sidescan sonar of the sea bed from a boat above. The symbol on the left show that that exact center is directly under the boat.
It does say that with such a device there is a way to transfer the X-Y plane coordinates used in the sonar to Global Coordinate systems, Lat and Long I guess. But you would need the location of the boat.
Maybe that is what is changing in the red bar at the bottom.

That would make sense. Durr for me not thinking of that.

Excellent. Lots of info. I don't know where to start.
The controls on the right are, IMO, Zoom in/out, Pan, something regarding elevation, and I have no idea about the last one. I think the second to last one is the most important for now. It clearly says EL, which makes me think it's elevation. That means we're most likely looking at an image of the ocean floor, and perhaps at MGP's body laying on the ocean floor. Or something similar.
The text at the bottom, in the red bar.
Occ. Det. ANO 0012433. (Monitoring . . .
If I were to hazard a guess, the ANO would be ANOMALY, hence supporting the idea that this is an image of MGP.
The two bars on the bottom right. I believe the first one is depth, no idea about the second one.
In short, I think we are seeing a sonar image of the ocean floor beneath Chuai station, showing an anomalous feature which may or may not be MGP's inert body. I believe each sequential picture descends lower and lower, ultimately revealing..something. I think that top-left area of the image is suspect, as it does appear to show an almost straight edge (I could post an image if anyone doesn't see it). It's also possible that the X and Y coordinates refer to locations on the images themselves, as a scale can clearly be seen.
Given what rocksmars says, perhaps we could use the Chuai station location and these coordinates...although I can't imagine how that would give us any help.

Good Wikipedia Article on Sonar with an interesting section on the adverse effect it has on marine animals.
