Yup, I finally got a chance to rewind and see it again and this is definitely what he says.

Very, very, strange.

I had to listen to it three or four times to see if I heard correct.

There's not going to be a lull?

Almost sounds like "lulz".

A 4chan reference?

I always knew Anonymous was behind MGP.

They do not forgive.

They do not forget.

Lulz.

Well it would make sense for him to, wouldn't it?

If Rob saw fire in the air (being blown by MGP) but he didn't see MGP, wouldn't it look like the air caught on fire?

Perhaps the military tried to use a FAE (fuel/air explosive) against the monster. Basically, when it goes off, it releases a cloud of vaporized fuel that is then ignited. The fire eats up the air, causing an explosive vacuum that pulverizes everything in the blast radius.

It's also possible that the military attacks on the creature could have ignited a fire storm like the one in Dresden, Germany during WWII.

Or, it could be a FAE,on of the the strongest non-nuclear weapons in the world used by military. These are now being used in Iraq and Afghanistan in your 'war'.

EDIT: See above post by Horned1.

This was on NBC and two other channels (I think) Because the game aired on the NFL Network and another channel.

I do seem to remember the scene where they first ran into the subway and Hud turned around to see everything in pyre. I kept asking myself what the hell did the military just shoot? But pehaps that's MGP's response to the military's attempt to shoot'em up.

Death of Tagruato Biologist!

Many thanks to our friend in the field who passed the original article on to us. It's translated below:

YOSHIDA MEDICAL RESEARCH MOURNS THE LOSS OF MARINE BIOLOGIST

Tagruato suffered a large loss yesterday when Kazui Ichigawa, 63, and his family were found dead early in the morning.

His body, along with the bodies of his wife, Rie Ichigawa, 55, daughter Norika, 36, and granddaughter Kyoko,10, was discovered in the Daisetsu-San National Park at a popular RV camping area. Early word from the police is that it was a gas explosion in their trailer.

eh, it doesn't carry enough weight behind it. I mean, I think someone would have seen a culprite about the size of a skyscraper blowing up someone's RV. I think that was just Tagruato 'taking care of their loose ends.'
