ok so going back over some very old threads (specifically the old threads regarding slusho.jp) and it dawned on me that the whistle blower's identity is: drum roll please..... Satoshi Kagashima. or (this part is completely speculation) ganu yoshida's cousin who took over ganu's mother's drink business from ganu.

here is my reasoning. slusho.jp's whois info lists satoshi kagashima as the registrant, which to me would suggest that whomever satoshi kagashima (SK for the rest of this post) he is a pretty important person with slusho, probably the head cheese. also on slusho's website it lists 2 emails that you can send things to. customer feedback: satoshiSPLATslusho.jp
18kagashimadSPLATtagruato.jp implying that SK isn't only involved with slusho, but with both companies.

In the history page on slusho.jp it explains that Ganu left the drink company to his cousin (but it never says his cousin's name) and then after discovering the DSI he rejoined with his cousin to create slusho. i believe that in this situation whoever Ganu's cousin is would probably be pretty high up in not only slusho but tagruato as well.

Here is where i go off the deep end with some speculation but i think that it makes a lot of sense. So Ganu and his cousin SK create slusho and all is well. Ganu is the more dominant one and is able to bully SK into just about anything. SK is a more simple man, who just loves slusho and is much more like ganu's mother than he is. Then Ganu goes into oil drilling and SK has no problem with it because it also gets him his DSI for the slusho. But then tagruato stumbles upon/creats MGP and SK finds out and is coerced into playing along by Ganu. then finally SK sprouts a pair of balls but at the same time doesn't want to die at his cousin's hand, so he starts sending out small semi-hidden messages to people hoping that someone will be able to use them to bring ganu down without anyone ever knowing that he is involved. but SK isn't too terribly bright and that is why the whistleblower is sending us memos from his 18kagashimadSPLATtagruato.jp email address.

So let me know what you think, i am still kinda fleshing out some of the finer details of this theory but that is what i have gotten so far.

 		Personally, at 4:46 in the morning, I'm surprised anyone has the adequate cognitive faculties to speculate on anything.

I like your theory though.

 		i work graveyards at a job that in an 8 hour shift i only do about 1.5 hours of actual work, so this is the time that i do all of my cloverfield research/speculation. so i am use to it.

I like your thinking, especially the whole cousins part.

However, I reckon Matthew Brodrick hacked into Tag and sent out the emails. Think about it I mean he's a hacker in War Games and he was in Godzilla! and by being Ferris Bueller he's got no chance of getting caught.

There have been several posts about Ganu's cousin, whose name is Danno Jo (from the Investors section on the Tagruato website). I, for one, think he's the whistleblower, too (as you will see in the previous posts in the link above), since he is the COO of the company.
