p.s. I don't get any video on the site, just the flash header and a background image.

Someone uploaded the video on YouTube, so you can watch here if you want: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hhg2yXNfRYU

Another thing I forgot to mention before; on the back cover of the January/February edition of the Official Lost Magazine there is an ad for Oceanic. You can view it here:
http://bp2.blogger.com/_RrObyQ3XzcY/R3VN56PcvdI/AAAAAAAAP0s/L-3cEXIsRLE/s1600-h/oceanic.jpg
(Oh, and just FYI, the watermark in the lower left hand corner isn't part of the ad, it is from the fansite that originally uploaded it.)

PS: 1miletogo on DarkUFO pointed out that Big Ben's clock in the advert is set at 8:15. Woot! The numbers!!

Hi, you've reached Georgia Cavanagh and Oceanic Airlines. We've had an unprecedended response to our return to service and we'll try to get back to you shortly. Please leave your name, number, and the time that you called. In addition, please check out our new website at http://flyoceanicair.com. Thank you. (beep)

Great way for them to track the "buzz".

you think the phone number is an attempt by ABC to see how interested people are in a new ARG?

Oh wow...As if I wasn't excited enough about seeing the trailer...

Hopefully, and this is spec, since the new season's been abridged by the writers strike, then they're ramping a new experience up to tied us over until they can finish. Maybe rushing into one they had planned for after the season.

Either way, eyes will be firmly placed on this. Rock On

Just looked at the video there and it 'could' have some interesting connotations. (totally don't add anything but hey)

There's three phases to the video; sydney, london and tropical paradise.
In both sydney and london the background sky in moody and dangerous (ie for london, red sky in the morning - shepherds warning) then on the 3rd paradise phase it states plainly "Your final destination" which as everyone knows is the lovely island of lost.

I was watching the video some more, and you're right, there could be some very interesting things hinted at in it. It doesn't really seem like the normal way you'd advertise an airline...

"The adventure of a lifetime awaits you..." "...will take you places you've only imagined in your wildest dreams." Those both seem like odd things to say... it sounds almost like they are advertising for some new adventure vacation somewhere few people have been.

And, as you said, "ultimate destination"? That is an extremely weird thing to say, since ultimate could mean final or last. And it is especially interesting that it is being said in front of an unidentifiable tropical island.

I've read this theory several places, and it is kind of branching off of what Craevenwulfe said, so I'm not the first to come up with this: wouldn't it be crazy if they somehow found the Lost island and turned it into a tourist location? I don't think I agree with this theory, not yet at least, but I still think it is a very interesting thought, nonetheless.

* Australian stewardess in front of Sydney operahouse: "The adventure of a lifetime awaits you. Oceanic Airlines will take you places ...."
* Asian stewardess in front of Big Ben (London): ".... you've only imagined in your wildest dreams. Oceanic Airlines, ...."
* Brunette stewardess in front of a tropical island: ".... your ultimate destination!"

If you take these three as literal references to Lost, they make sense. The "adventure of a lifetime" is, of course, what the survivors of Flight 815 are experiencing. And that plane was from Oceanic Airlines, so "Oceanic Airlines will take you places ...." is a true statement. The Big Ben image is interesting, since the time on Big Ben is 8:15. Those are The Numbers which are a huge part of the Lost mythology and it's also the number of the flight which crashed on the Island. And then the image of a tropical island that's ".... your ultimate destination!" is quite an ironic statement, don't you think?

It seems as though Ninja (Speaker's Aussie counterpart, he was also strongly involved in TLE) is also posting on this news.
-->http://au.blogs.yahoo.com/lost-ninja/9931/oceanic-airlines-back-in-business
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all of these hints mean that this really is The Lost Experience 2. I suppose we will have to wait until tomorrow to know for sure... Smile

In his blog he points out a new thread that he started in his message board (http://au.messages.yahoo.com/lost/theories/55457/#msg_55457). This thread poses the same question that appeared in Speakers post, what really happened to flight 815? This is obviously an important question that they really want us to be focusing on right now... is it possibly the answer that this ARG (if that is what this ends up being) leads to?

Destinations

TUSTIN, California?
Easy enough to find, via Googling, but it's hardly the size of any of the other cities.

Interesting that it got brought up in unforums once before, as a topo map near UC Irvine.

Uh. Question

Is this the first time I've posted in more than a year?

John Locke lived in Tustin. Each destination is connected with one or more character.

Re: probelms with the pdf

No updates on the site yet...? I was hoping they'd open the actual site early in the morning today, but I guess not... I'll just have to wait (im)patiently all day. Laughing

Edit: Well, actually, they changed one thing: That annoying video doesn't repeat over and over again automatically anymore, thank goodness, and they added (or made longer, I can't remember) the Oceanic logo at the end of the video. Not exactly the big change I was hoping for though... haha.

Here's the press release on ABC Medianet (ABC's official press release site). Hope this works! Smile

I called and left a message, as instructed by Georgia, with my name and call back number. That was an hour ago. Nothing has happened yet.
